Shinji Mikami hasn't been credited since RE4. So in a sense of your word, RE hasn't been true since he left, which I can agree with in a sense.
But the game sounds decent in some aspects but what's got me annoyed is the character desgins for the 4 main characters. The U.S.S.. DO NOT look like that. They all have gas masks, but they do not look like they were ripped right out of the Fantastic Four with their own look and abilities.

Horror and survival worked just fine in the RE: Outbreak series that I played for years. I wouldn't give this game the pass simply for that. However, cloaked characters and shotty character designs for the U.S.S. members you play as are really getting on my nerves from the recent screens.

This game is fucking AWESOME! Playing it with my cousins right now. If they both pic it up, I'll pick it up Day 1 also. Outstanding beta so far, with only a few things that need to be tweaked.

I love the fuck out of Mercenaries in RE4 and RE5. And even though it should be packaged with Revelations as a mini-game, I'm still picking it up to play it duo with my friend competitively.
As for Operation Raccoon City, I'm one of the biggest, if not the biggest, RE fans on this site and I was just as pissed off to hear the SOCOM team was taking RE and fucking around with it. But from what I've read, it might be pretty cool "IF" they handle it right. ...

Chris was WAY cooler before they fucked his character's image up in RE 5. If Mikami was still in charge of his series he wouldn't have let that happen.

I love Ryu from Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden. But Chris wins hands down. Guns beat swords and take away both characters weapon and Chris would crush Ryu. Super speed and agility don't matter, just look at what happened to Wesker with all his speed and skills. Call me biased...

Played it for the first time last night with my cousin. It's fucking awesome! The visuals are gorgeous, and aside from some lag here and there on bigger team battles, it plays excellently. If I can get enough people I know to pick up this game and play it often, I'll definitely buy it too!
Why did you write Resident Evil 4 and Code: Veronica in your article? They're not being remade what so ever. They are being "cleaned up" with sharper visuals. I'd like to see more comparison shots of Code: Veronica than RE4. Resident Evil 4 looks fine the way it is, even to this day.
I think it would have been more respectable of them to release "Gamecube Styled" remakes of RE 2 and RE 3, rather than a cleaned up version and a bonus mode for a game that's been more times to make Mikami's hair fall out.

Primal Carnage looks fucking awesome!! Major props to the guys over at LukeWarm Media! I'm definitely gonna pick this game up when it releases and recommend it to my friends also around launch time.
As much as I enjoyed RE4, I think it's been done to death enough times that it's almost impossible to find a console it hasn't been ported to.
I think game's perfect as it is on the Wii. I think Code: Veronica was a good choice for an HD remastering of the "classic" RE style, but I think everyone wanted to see an HD remake of Resident Evil 2 and 3. I think they deserve it just as much, if not more.

The Jurassic Park Arcade games were some of the BEST fucking arcade, rail-shooters ever created! I played the shit out of those games back in the day. It's just a crying shame SEGA never re-released them for home consoles.
Most of the good survival-horror games out there nowadays nobodies even heard of or played before.
Some great ones like, Fatal Frame, Condemned, Siren, along with less than a handful of others that keep the genre alive err undead.. Whatever.
Even Resident Evil is making an "attempt" at least to be horrific and eerie again with RE: Revelations of the 3DS.
