It's not like a game 2 and a half years ago COMPLETELY ripped off every major horror source and made a game of it's own based on it. Over the shoulder horror (RE4 much?) Running and Gunning err Walking and Gunning isn't new to Resident Evil. Biohazard: Outbreak: File #2 was the first "true" RE experience that created the move and shoot aspect to survival-horror, unless you count Dino Crisis 2 (which isn't exactly horror).
Oh and to all the haters and Dead Space fans out there you think RE sucks and that Dead Space is the survival-horror king.

Best analysis article of FFXIV I've read on the internet, PERIOD. You stayed very neutral, without being pessimistic nor biased. Very good read, and great points you put out there! I really hope Square-Enix reads your article and gets to work to make the experience much better for players in the future. The only reviewer that actually seems like they know what they're talking about and have non-biased experience towards the game is the IGN reviewer. Low score or not, he actually said a lot of the very nice things about the game, and all the negative aspects, but he also was optimistic enough to say that within time it can grow into something great and more approachable, unlike all these other sites that just wanna take a swing for more spotlight and attention.
I actually find Final Fantasy XIV to one of the best RPG's and one of the best FF games I've seen or played. Yeah it has it's problems but I hardly can believe anyone here even plays the game or has any experience with it to say some of the things that you people have been saying. It just needs some more time as an MMO to grow and work out he bugs, just like any other online experience.
Stop playing Final Fantasy games, stop complaining to Square-Enix. Go play Fallout: New Vegas or Vanquish and get off these forums. First of all, I picked up on how the game works fairly fast. Square-Enix also obviously knows what their doing, but when making something as MASSIVE as an MMO, you're going to come across more than a few problems not found in your average game.
It seems to me that hardly anyone here has any legitimate counter-argument besides the fucking landscape repeating, which is bullshit and so-called boring side quests. And for the 10+ assholes who disagreed with me are those people...

Every game nowadays have to have some sort of an Achilles Heel attached to it (Vanquishes' Length) that pessimistic gamers have to carry with them for the rest of their lives? While I rather am disappointed that Chris and Jill are not in their own CG movie this time, I at least HOPE Capcom can get their own character accurate to the game this time (and I'm not referring to the character's look).
