Ha... cut the Pink Fairy games out... they will rot your mind. Should enjoy the New Kuma Games addon "The Death of Osama bib Laden" its free like PSN and lets you get some of your frustrations out.

Note: I am not plugging the game... just thought it would be better for those needing their Black Ops fix. ha

Sorry THC Cell... but Sony has denied setting any official timeline for it to be back up and have reiterated that PSN will be up when it is up.

You putting a date on it does not help any if that date is not met. You are hurting the situation by perpetuating false rumors.

@Raptura

You think it would be nice for Sony to keep the network down just so they can get a media hit for an announcement at E3???!!! Wow, not sure where your priorities are?

Thief??? Are they remaking that for this Gen? I am aware and prepared to purchase Deus Ex... but have heard nothing about a Thief revival? I would be looking hard at it though as I liked the stealth elements alot in that game.

Never too late for a comment.

I think the primary thought was you don't go to these areas for expertise in a field. Asking anyone on the street for help will get you plenty of outside the norm advice too... but I wouldn't recommend it as a pratice.

But to hire someone outside of the norm that doesn't have the experience you need to develope is throwing money away.

I don't care for the Killer Instinct game myself... but I wouldn't count out seeing at least an XBLA version of K.I. to come out later.

RARE has been the major focus of Microsofts Kinetic line-up and have been looked at from the beginning to be the foundation for Kinetic games.

But you will see a Perfect Dark and Conker game out for the 360 before the next system more then likely. Note Conker might be Kinetic though.

Not understanding what you are getting at jamstorr86? Are you asking me how the game stands up to other games in the past or now? Of course it held up to other games in the past... but playing them now I just don't get the same enjoyment out of 'em.

What I see when playing them now is that it feels very clunky and the controls and interaction is just not there. I have played too many more current games (i.e. Mass Effect) where you interact and tell a story and I jus...

When did Xbox Live get hacked again??? The system got hacked and is moddable but that still doesn't prevent the 360 from having the highest software user ratio.

While PS3 gets hacked and Sony goes apesh*t and pisses off modders. Then they get their servers hacked and Sony takes down the system... with NO get well date announced.

@Dacapn

Good point... those that just purchased the system are the most likely to turn around and trade it back in for cash or another system. I am sure they are the most likely of the crowd to give up on it.

The people that are most likely NOT to trade in their systems are the ones that originally purchased it for the added BluRay player feature. Seeing that the network being down would not effect them as much per say.

Even a hardcore ...

There is a difference between optimism and blind faith. You have been told time and time again that 77 million is not the number of users but the number of accounts that were possibly hacked. Number of users is much less in comparison. And though your dollar amount is considerable it is not comparable to the amount of money already lost bye the issue at hand with the network outage and such.

I imagine that though a lot of users might be trading t...

The only thing with Shenmue is that I have recently gone back and played the previous versions and they just don't hold up to the memory that I had in playing them.

So if they do make a Shenmue 3 then they need to look into some Major upgrade to gameplay and mechanics.

I have recently gone back and played Knights of the Old Republic and it still holds up... but that would be a nice thing to see remade with todays game engines!

Obviously not the ONLY criteria... but no different then the director reference. I am not going to hire a director to direct my movie if they don't watch movies.

Experience in your job means a lot. Some people can bring different things to the table in a job... but you definetly want to find the people that are involved in the actual mechanics of the job itself.

A few things I would reference in similar points:

Don't hire an Ath...

I am not sure anyone is saying it failed as a game? It failed as it's original plan of an open world sandbox... but other then that I think it was a tremendous game on it's own standing as a suspence thriller.

@AliC

I am assuming you mean better by the fact that it could have sold more copies due to having more market to play with?

I don't see how they could have made it better without Microsofts involvment, unless someone else would have stepped up to support them... which didn't appear to happen.

As for advertising support... I thought the game prior to release was well publicized. Everyplace I looked I saw an article or adverisemen...

Much better then the boring Black Ops Top Ten I had to view awhile ago.

I always enjoy the ricochet of rockets off armorers and killing friends instead. Classic.

Having seen a recent report on the allocation of Skype Xbox system and other MS owned devices were mentioned as needing to be looked at for incorporating Skype functionality.

The main reason behind the purchase was the potential of Skype and recent percentile growth. The 600 million users and add revenue which has not been properly utilized within Skype is a big factor as well.

I hope to see utilization of Skype within the Xbox system similar to that of F...

There is already in game video chat capabilities. I think it was Marble Madness or another one of those family games I used to video chat with my daughter when I was stationed apart from her.

Can't afford it???? It's an Indie game... who can't afford an Indie game?

Of course this particular type of game is definetly not up my alley... like we need any more rythem games out there? I was over rythem games after I had "simon" as a kid.
