Almost like the article was saying Devil May Cry 5 and DMC are two different games being mentioned???? Weird. And if these are the Top 5 games missed from E3 then we didn't miss too much. Last Guardian maybe... but everything mentioned is nothing on my radar yet.

To say that you bought a PS3 just for a PSN title that is very similar to a title you already own on the XBox 360 is not saying much about yourself. So many other reasons to buy a PS3. This PSN title is NOT a system seller regardless of what the author thinks of the title.

What exactly is it about the compass that dumbs down the game? the compass has been around for a long time and not sure that it really dumbs down any aspect of the game. I might need an explanation on this one???

How long is the in game time? Maybe a month or two tops? Sorry, jumping around even for a year does not get you superhuman jumping abilities in real life.
And just think about all the volleyball elites and basketball players. Though they train a lot their calves are really not that massive.
What developers have failed to understand is that the manipulation of your style and characteristics of your player is the soul of RPGing.
I don't want to be forced into wearing Garanimals armor. I want to be able to put on my armor one peice at a time. And if I so choose to take off just my chest piece and run around like a barbarian with a battle axe. Or take off just my pants if it feels breezy that day.

I think someone just saw one too many old musicals from Hollywood and fell in love. Now it seems like every Bollywood film is a story with portions of Oklahoma, West Side Story and Grease thrust into the plot some how.
What is up with all the dancing... I mean really.... it isn't even good dancing. It would be like every Hollywood film suddenly breaking out in country line dances at any moment within a film.
I would like to see two iterations of multiplayer for Halo 4. I would like to see the competative aspect that we see now, with maps and competitive play that we are used to. But I would love to be able to see a multiplayer world that we can take over in our online battles. Similar to Red Dead Redemption.
Think about it... being able to jump in a vehicle and go from location to location in it. Battling enemies encampments at each location with friends online.
The author talks of the Flood being an impossibility in being a part of the new trilogy due to their demise. But doesn't he realize the flood was not killed only stopped for a short while?
I hope that new creatures and alien races will be presented in this next trilogy but also hoping that it ties in with the whole story of Halo. Is it really Halo if the original idea of the Halo itself is not present in the next trilogy? Might as well call the game Master Chief instead...

Yes there are a lot of games that just don't live up to any standards. But it isn't really difficult to find gems.
The best thing about Indie games is they have a simple demo that can be downloaded and if you like it then it usually just cost a buck to buy.
Basically the Indie games is the console version of cellphone games. With a few added games that really stack up with XBLA titles in fun.

You can travel in groups or go all Lone Ranger on people. You can opt to jump into individual game lobbys or wander until your horse or controller gives out. "PS3 owners are buying just as many games as 360 owners" - not exactly. The attach rate of the PS3 and 360 is not even close to being in Sonys favour. 360 attach rate is much larger then PS3. But again this could be due some to Sony not being able to control the US market as MS has done.
As you have already mentioned that the attach rate reflects to 360... just over all attach rate not just in US only.
Just to give you a little heads up. I have friends I play with daily from across the world. Mainly Europe, Australia, Japan and Korea. I have spent a large portion of my life living outside of the US. And I have found that the majority of Xbox 360 console sales outside of US is specifically for Halo and FPS gaming.
Don't knock the FPS community outside of the US. It is large and growing... some of the best FPS gamers are in Japan. And I can speak just enough of the lang...
I am thinking it is due to the multiplayer feature of it all. I have seen games with passes but they don't prevent you from playing online multiplayer without it.
I don't recall the VIP pass preventing me from playing online for Battlefield Bad Company?
Mass Effect was ok with their pass... basically it allowed you access to added DLC and such. That should really be all a pass should be for. Limiting the amount of people on your multiplayer port...
