Yes it would seem that a legend and quantative references would assist in interpreting the full scale of what we are looking at.
But some obvious things we can see from the graph (and maybe they wanted to focus just on this fact) is that 360 is double that of PS3 and about 6X more then that of Wii sales in the US. Regardless of how many that is it points out competative ratio between the systems.
And the game cards by platform just doesn't even need ...
I have no clue what you are trying to say??? Other then the part were you try to say intelligent people can see that both PS3 and 360 have same online attach rate in the US?
Not by this report it doesn't... the graph shows that 360 is doubling the online rate of the PS3, so for your assumption to be accurate then 360 would have double the consoles sold then PS3s in the US. Which I don't think is the case.
It's actually called "association football".
@LightofDarkness
So you are saying American fans are more civilized? And that European fans rage because they don't fear repercussions?
I am guessing you have never played American Football?
We used to play Rugby when we were kids... but our version was a little simpler. Throw the ball in the air and someone catches it. Then ALL other players tackel that one player and try to get the ball who in turn gets tackeled and pummeled, We called it Smear the Queer though. (Yes... definetly a homophobic name in these days)
The age old arguement of which is a tougher sport. Both have their levels...
The article is about the effect of the sport in the USA were they call it Soccer. Many different countries call things by different names. Seems like Europeans really don't like the sport being called soccer. Just funny when I see someone get offended by it. Especially seeing that the word in history originated from UK.
"The word soccer is a colloquial abbreviation of association (from assoc.) and first appeared in the 1880s. An early usage found in an English 189...
"In 2000 there were a total of 538 electoral votes available with 270 needed to win. Republican George W. Bush, with 50,456,002 popular votes won 271 electoral votes. His Democratic opponent, Al Gore, won the popular vote with 50,999,897 votes, but won only 266 electoral votes. Bush was elected president."
Goes to show that more people might want one thing but the Electoral College system can make you loose the election. Glad gaming isn't an election process. ...
Mop the floor? Doubt it... but it could pull a Bush and get enough votes in the right places to squeek one out. American public can really be ignorant and vote for the hype versus the substance. (of course you could probably say that about a lot of countries)
At least they got it right and made BF3 the blue color. More progresive and less set in their old ways.
So did BF3 at least pull out the Popular vote? Just looking at the key battleground states it appeared that BF3 could have gotten the popular vote in those states alone... wondering how the actual full count turn out looked like?
Also, we have to understand that not one person one vote in this sampling. So hard to use the electoral format in this case....
@Ranshak
To build it right you will pay more then 2 console generations. And still not have the number of good games available for the consoles. And you will STILL have to deal with regular driver and software updates... and software conflicts.
@SuicideShaun
I am assuming that you are referring to console owners as simpletons? I just have to say that console owners have great games to play and the entire family is enjoying the experien...
PC gaming didn't just recently die. As for specs and keeping up with them. Still not much difference in yesterday and today. New PC hardware capabilities means that developers attempt to create the best they can with the new specs and if your system is not up to par then you might as well own a console.
Even DirectX features cause pains in capabilities. Something new each day it seams with the PC. Which is good if you want to keep up with it. But the market doesn't...
Not even sure he was boozed up Jamie Kennedy ALWAYS looks like he is drunk.
Anybody else having issues with the website? Pops up in a weird format and has no real information.
It was PC hardware that killed the PC Gaming. Basically the PCs have too many specs to deal with I remember having to deal with so many games that only worked with specific graphics cards and such.
Always having to modify my system to be able to play the latest games. Consoles allowed you to just enjoy the game by putting a disk in a tray. Not worrying about if my graphics card, memory or latest software was updated enough to play the next games.
Hhhmmmm... I am thinking seeing that I am retired Military, I have a family with 2 kids and one on the way.... (I might be old but I still know how to populate the world with future gamers) that I might be just a step or two out of my mothers basement.
Did I hurt your feelings and hate on your father or something? You are probably just a Gamer0 follower who has yet to grow up yourself.
Wondering why with so many submissions that you have that your bubbles...
What about GTA IV?
See my post above...^^
Adj. 1. hard-core - stubbornly resistant to change or improvement; "hard-core addicts"
2. hard-core - intensely loyal; "his hard-core supporters"
3. hard-core - extremely explicit; "hard-core pornography"
So try to associate the word to gaming. Note it is much easier to define a hardcore gamer within the defintion. With definitions 1 and 2 pertaining directly to gamers that are loyal to gaming itself, as in the example of t...
Wow... 2 guys playing Tekken and one guy losses because he says he doesn't ever really play Tekken. Destroyed is the concept that this video is relative.
Hippityhop even asks for something news worthy at the end from Anton, and the only thing Anton can say is a promotion blurb for HippityHop. Sad.
Oooohh... oooooooohhhhh.
I didn't see any schooling in that reply from the DICE Boss. He didn't even comment on the squad size or no commander issue. Only saying that 4 classes is all you need with the variety.
@MrSancho1
I am pretty sure that Xbox 360 has not sold twice as many systems versus PS3 in the US. And I know that it doesn't cost twice as much as the PS3... so now I have 2 people that I have no clue what they are trying to say.
Edit: make that 3 people...@Why o why what does you having to pay for sex, cars and drugs have to do with this article again?
