@DaTruth "Exclusives have nothing to do with it per se! People who buy game consoles like games, and the console with multiplatform games & exclusives has more games than the console without exclusives!"

And yet Xbox 360 has more games to play on their system but PS3 gamers say PS3 has more exclusives? Mostly because PS3 gamers don't consider games that also appear on PC as being exclusive. Well maybe not but they aren't offered on the PS3 are they? ...

You have a good point on one aspect. there is a vast world outside of America.

But for Americas consumers they could care less as long as they are getting what they want. If Europe, Japan, Australia, Kazakhstan or any other country is not behind the Xbox 360 then it doesn't effect them as America is large enough that it will not go unnoticed by the developers regardless.

So the fact that Xbox 360 does not sell as well in Japan has no care in the worl...

"360 is getting dominated in the most important area - GAMES, you know that reason why we buy consoles." And yet people are buying more 360s then PS3s, what does that say about your statement?

I am sure your next responce will be something in the line of... Just wait PS3 is catching up, or 360 had a head start, or best yet... Shut up XboxFanboy.

Using Metacritics as one source:(fanboys need not complain on either side for this source)

The article stated that "the promotion certainly had at least a small impact"... I would say more small then anything. But would this be any different then the Sony promotions giving away free PS3s with their TVs?

Both Sony and MS do promotional shuffling to get their systems out there and both count all numbers of units released in these deals.

Nothing new...

I understand how this is game related and I have gone through similar issues with change IDs and such.

But the thing is this is really across the board on almost all services. My yahoo account, my gmail account, my google account, my hotmail account... etc. All are a pain if you forget the password and need to get access to it.

I still to this day have an IGN account that I can't get into and it still sends me updates about Halo 2 stuff every week. ...

'"...Porting it [FFXI] to the PS3 and making use of the advantages that that hardware offers would also be difficult.” Final Fantasy XI producer Hiromichi Tanaka told Famitsu.'

So he is saying that it would be hard to use anything that the adavantages of the hardware on the PS3 offer. Is that meaning he is just not willing to give PS3 players a port without any major updates using the hardware specifics. Or that he can't use the hardware within the paramete...

This integration would not effect PC games per say. The possibility will arise that you will be able to pay for a service to use Windows Live games.

But not required to pay anything more for games that are Windows capable.

More of a pay for service fee and not a blanket cost or membership to use any software outside the realm of the service.

So to answer your question... no you will not need to be a GOLD member to play future PC games o...

Nothing has been cleared up yet. MS has not came out and disclaimed any information given by source leak. So until that happens we will keep getting speculation.

So talk on the goods and bads of the speculation until MS comes out and gives us the skinny on what is actually happening with Windows 8. Which might not be fully until you get Windows 8 in your grip.

As we know all of this talk is specualtion as we don't know if any of this is being offered in Windows 8.

But as for the controller vs mouse in FPS issue. Simply requiring the use of controller when using Xbox games within windows 8 would seem simple enough to allow level play cross platform. (could software manipulation work around this? Sure but no different then me now owning a mouse, keyboard adapter for my Xbox 360.) The games will not be remodified to play on PC.....

I think people are looking at this from the wrong perspective.

Being able to play Xbox 360 games on your PC does a few things that support us at gamers.

It allows cross platform gaming. If my friends (especially my PS3 friends) who want to be able to play that game of Gears of War or Halo:Reach that we are talking about at work and doesn't want to invest in an Xbox 360... he can purchase the game if he owns a PC then he can talk trash with us at work ...

I think Rubenstein didn't get the full meaning of his tweet. Sanchez wants his Xbox 360 working again because all his teammates are likely Xbox 360 players too. He wants to still be able to play with all his online friends on Live.

He probably already has a PS3 and has no issue with it and the Bluray movies that he watches.

Hey... just a little jab...not too big. Get over the hate. ha

I am reading his post and it does say "I got a PS3 a 4 months ago" I know he added an extra "a" in his sentence but even I understand that he owns a PS3.

Who approved this article? It just shows a picture and says we should be disgusted with it for some reason. Not even telling us why... thus opening up the endless banter about nothing.

I see a game being played... get over it. FAIL.

I don't know that the theory was that Sony = bad... I think it was more what is going on?

Yes, many people jumped on the bandwagon and started worrying about some of the issues that might arise from having only HDMI cables. With people having limited HDMI hook ups on older sets. With others worried that video capture of games would lead to less availability of PS3 material on the net.

I am glad to hear directly from the horses mouth that component ca...

I recently just sold my copy of Battlefield: MC and did a test run of the online play prior to releasing the game. I found it was still populated and fun on the 360. I guess you still have your diehard fans playing games.

I wonder too if EA servers going down will mean that xbox 360 servers will not be available for the game?

I know MS shut down pre-xbox 360 server connection due to limitations of old games against new server upgrades needed. But I have ...

I think the article got it wrong. The mail-in DVD option will now cost you more. Streaming has always cost me $7.99 and I never used the mail-in option.

And why are they labeling this as a console thing? It is the same for PC streaming. Which is what I use to stream my videos.
