Performance wise or pacing wise?
I think your comment nails it.
@djplonker
Notice how he also bolsters his list with dlc while not extending that same benefit to his Sony list? Dishonesty. That's how you can tell who he really thought had the better E3.
Even George gave it up — George! — and you're still trying to captain that Titanic?
Question: Where were all of these games people were expecting going to come from?
There is this misconception that the Xbox division is free to throw around the money of its parent company, MS. They likely spent BIG money getting exclusivity for and funding Titan Fall, a game which, at the time, they had to be banking on to put them ahead of PS4 in total worldwide sales. By March, after all of the marketing, price drops, and bundling, the only question left was whether XB1 co...
Why would you need to wait until Sony's conference to judge? Sony's conference can range from poor to great; it wouldn't change the quality of MS' conference.
"if your a Sony fan who hated that conference, ask yourself what's more important:- enjoying all the great games both consoles have on offer, or missing out on half the great games over the coming years because you have some sort of hatred for Microsoft.. "
That's one of the most ridiculous arguments I see regurgitated around here.
1) Half the great games? What are you talking about? Most games are multiplats and are you forgetting Nintendo ...
It's funny how the same crap talking points get recycled. Premature hype, which leads to premature bragging from people that should know, by now, to just shut up and see how things play out, which leads to a letdown, which leads to "damage control is out in full force," followed by the next big hype.
Your argument fails for (at least) two reasons:
1) It implies that it is not treated as news when CNN talks about games (which is a rather ironic assertion, on your end). That implication is incorrect. N4G has posted stories about CNN (and other news outlets) mentioning games.
2) It erroneously treats the situations as comparable. Why you choose to do that, I don't know. Maybe you don't like him, like some of the trolls above who decided to turn this...
@spartanlemur
"If you don't agree with the content of the game, THE [emphasis mine] solution is simply NOT TO BUY IT."
"Thus, there is a natural fear from people wishing to speak out in favour of certain forms of these, even if there is intellectual rigour behind an argument. People fear being branded 'just another bigoted racist sexist' even if there is strong rational justification for a form of such a view."
...
If you don't agree with the content of an article the solution is to ignore it, instead of giving the website hits, giving N4G hits for piggybacking off of it, or contributing to how "hot" it is on N4G by posting multiple comments to the discussion.
I don't actually think that. I'm just throwing your own logic back at you to demonstrate that it's a rather simplistic and immature standard you're demanding people adhere to; a standard which you are...
Haven't played the game because I don't think it's worth $60. Didn't read the essay because I don't want spoilers. That said, given the history of issues like this being brought up on this site, and looking at the comments here, I agree with you about people simply wishing to "brush aside the argument."
Until you forced the issue with your comment no one (at the time of my typing this) has said anything to address the argument. That tells me tha...
They do. Many people dismiss it, right away, without bothering to address the point, as you're doing now.
With idiots like that sheriff in charge, is it any wonder something like this happened on his watch? Before anyone says I'm being too harsh, the kid's parents reported him to the sheriff's department before this happened.
“The police interrogated me outside for a few minutes, asking me if I had suicidal thoughts. I tactfully told them that it was all a misunderstanding, and they finally left. If they had demanded to search my room... That would have ended everyth...
I come from high crime areas and never needed a gun. Guns are a major part of the problem in high crime areas.
Let's be real for a minute. Where are the vast majority of criminals getting their guns from? Do you think the streets are being flooded with guns from some secret criminal gun factory? No. The guns flooding the streets, legal and illegal, are coming from the same channel. The money is going back to the same people. Today's "illegal" gun is yesterda...
1) Eonjay is correct. The site critiquing the original observation, and N4G, are the ones trolling you all for hits. The original review says nothing about racism or white privilege. As a reviewer, he commented on being disappointed by the lack of racial diversity in Mario over 30 years, which he said is highlighted when you look at the Mario Kart 8 lineup as Nintendo presents it, on a single screen. He acknowledged it would be "atypical" for Nintendo to do something about that by i...

I think he was actually referring to the comments from some Xbox fans in that article. And let's not pretend sensitivity to "Xbone" is only limited to that article.
"TV and apps are only bad when MS does it. That's what I've learned from N4G tonight."
Come on, son. Stop it. Most Sony fans who have spoken on it here, including myself, identify that as a negative part of their conference. Stop it with the dishonest arguments.
