@lelo
It's funny how you continue to run with that worn out "Sony does it too," go-to canard, based on a false equivalency that relies on going back to the PSX years, which was already thoroughly debunked by the time you posted either of your comments.
Hopefully this dispels the misguided notion that we should automatically want Xbox to sell well, regardless of merit, for the sake of calling it competition for Sony (though it's funny how the Wii U is left out of this argument, despite coming from the company with the longest history in gaming).
I don't get why it was so hard for people to understand that a reality devoid of the potential for a system to die, due to low sales, is incongruous to the competition that ...
This makes perfect sense. That's how online play should be. Let it replicate that couch co-op.
@system22
This isn't really in the spirit of competition. This is throwing money at something so that you don't have to bother trying to compete. That money that kept a game out of PS and PC gamers' hands could have been invested to create new, additional games to put in Xbox players' hands. It's the EA/Madden form of "competing," where you pay to spite the other guys instead of stepping your game up.
@system22
Have you met my friend, irony?
@lunatic0001
Hate to break it to you, but your argument relies upon the fallacy that the practice is okay if it happened in the past.
I'll indulge, though. Hate to break it to you, but your already flawed argument relies solely on an example that is a false equivalency. FFVII didn't ditch Nintendo because Sony tossed around the money-hat. It ditched Nintendo because the game couldn't be practically made for the N64 cartridge based hardware, wherea...
What's funny is you think that's the solution when you're part of the problem. You're encouraging behavior that potentially deprives you of the option of getting a better version of the game on the PS4, but also takes away funds that could have gone toward CREATING content for the XB1, just to keep a game you were getting, regardless, out of the hands of PS4/PC players.
@HaydenJameSmith
What can I say? It bothers me when post-pubescent people use arguments that seem like they were constructed using kindergarten logic.
@captain_slow82
"moves like this reminds me my ive still not picked up an xbox one yet and this move wont make me want to buy one infact makes me not one even more "
Bingo. Can we speak to reality, for a moment, without it being misconstrued as trolling?
MS messed up out of the gate with the XB1. They turned a lot of people off. They still have some fans, the current XB1 install base, but that group is mainly composed of the more l...
@HaydenJameSmith
So, instead of trying to play a game of hypotheticals, why don't you give an example of that happening, and we'll discuss from there.
Hate to break it to you, but it does affect you. Among other things, it encourages console manufacturers to adopt a business model that focuses on taking away games from the competition's fanbase rather than creating games for their fanbase.
It's the EA/Madden model of competition: eliminate the availability of competing experiences instead of creating unique, compelling experiences.
Final Fantasy XV WAS a Sony exclusive. Remember FFXIII Versus? There's your FFXV.
@Haki1112
Reading some of these comments I feel like there has been a dumbing-down of the consumer intellect. I can easily buy both, but what kind of precedent would I be setting? It's essentially saying, "I'm a sucker. Feel free to nickel and dime me."
This whole attitude that you should just spend the money (or be shamed for being broke) is embarrassingly irresponsible.
To add to what everyone else has already said, No Man's Sky is also being made by a studio that can only focus on one platform at a time.
You're really stretching to create a false equivalency by comparing a game like No Man's Sky to a franchise that is perfectly capable of launching on all platforms, which I've supported since the Sega Saturn, and which is only able to release the next sequel thanks to the support that PS fans that comprised the majority of ...
@marlin
Hypothetical arguments are fun. You can make up whatever without having to prove your point.
"the devs have already stated that its coming exclusively to xbox one"
And so it is. If the game releases later on PS4 and PC does that negate that for the time before that it was exclusive to Xbox?
They were already complaining about sales of the last game, which made them go for the remaster money grab, which sold ...
"Wow that is huge... i guess all the more reason to get an xbox one"
Not really. They're just trying to cash in while ducking releasing on PS at the same time as Uncharted.
If they want to make money they'll wait until the Uncharted coast is clear, then come grovelling back to PS fans with Rise of the Tomb Raider: MacGruber Edition. https://www.youtube.com/wat...
@JeffGUNZ
You dodged the question to commit the same mistake you previously did. Again, the common complaint against VG is not that they are simply inaccurate, as if it is due to an innocent mistake in their guesstimations, but that they operate with an agenda to make the XB1 look like it is performing better against the PS4 than it truly is. Not only is your argument dishonest in its attempts to generalize based on a sample size of three, but even among your three examples t...

I like how you preference your statement, limiting it to the "first three comments," as if that is representative of the entire comment section and Mystic's attitude toward VGC when they show a Sony lead.
Here is just one of the many anti-VGC comments Mystic made throughout that comment section:
"The numbers, nebulous as they are coming from vgchartz, are very close. Of course history says the real PS numbers are ...
@nicksetzer1 and co.
Others have already debunked your spin, so I just want to know one thing. Where were you guys during the pre-E3 hype when Xbox loyalists were giddy, believing that MS would money-hat games to their platform? Where were you during all the times MS loyalists would crow about the profits of Xbox's parent company allowing them to money-hat games?
Some of you I remember belonging to those camps celebrating MS' money-hatting as an adva...
