I think some people are confusing the argument out of this reaction that has been fostered this gen that competition can't be eliminated.

He's not arguing that the bundle alone would eliminate the competition, just as that lone straw that breaks the camel's back, on its own, is not enough to break a camel's back. He's arguing that, given the current situation and the PS4's dominance, this could be that straw that breaks the camel's back.

The Xbox has what built in? They don't even have a mobile platform. The Xbox has a built in function to allow for playing PSX-PS3, PSP and PSV games which also allows streaming onto a different TV? Oh, wait, wait, wait. You're talking TV functions, aren't you? That's what I thought too, before I bothered to read the article.

"Also as far as that tv thing goes its an addon lets so if the notoriously cheap sony commmunity supports it."

That's a riot. Last gen we were rich snobs; this gen we're "notoriously cheap."

You should read it. He does more to support his reasoning (even if you ultimately disagree with it) than sitting around for years hoping that something that has never happened in modern gaming happens: the lead console on the market goes away because its parent company went bankrupt.

I just hope it gets better support than it did in Japan. There's really no reason not to. Plus, the market is different in Japan, with consumers preferring mobile platforms (like Vita) whereas this basically turns your Vita into a home console — a very portable home console, but a home console nonetheless. With lower Vita sales outside of Japan they may not fear PS TV sales cannibalizing Vita hardware sales, so long as they have a platform through which they can sell more Vita software.

I went into this article thinking he was going to make some irrelevant (given Xbox's current shift to marketing XB1 as a GAMES! GAMES! GAMES! console) point about PS TV killing MS by cornering the set top box market, but he actually does a pretty good job of arguing that the PS4 is already in a dominant position on its own, so the addition of a product like the PS TV, with its ability to stream PS4 games and play PSX-PS3, PSP and Vita games for only $99 (probably less if bundled with a PS...

The E3 presentation which results in the most people going out to buy the product is the one that won.

It's that simple. Why do we need to be told who won a conference we all either watched or have ready access to? After a football game does anyone need to explain to the viewers who won? Of course not, because there's a clear winner and loser (or tie), and it's not open to subjective interpretation. If the outcome is open to subjective interpretation, as E3 is, t...

From your comment, it seems like you're having one of those moments like that one person that stands up at the pro-wrestling match and shouts out that it's fake, as if this is a revelation to the rest of the audience.

Of course we know there are other forms of DRM besides what MS tried to do. We even know that MS didn't invent DRM. When people refer to XB1 DRM it is just a way of quickly referencing the DRM implementations that MS wanted for the XB1. We're on...

You know who wins E3? The one that convinces the most people to go out and buy their product. That's the simple truth, no matter how many articles based on fallacious arguments try to TELL the consumers the show is for who won.

I think you meant to say "if MS can bounce back from the RROD record failure rate, which they tried to cover up for months, they'll be okay." Oh wait, you also threw in the usual insignificant point that XB1 is in 1/3 of the countries that PS4 is — a go-to talking point designed to use numbers and fractions to obscure the fact that markets and countries are not equal in hopes of creating the impression that those markets will put XB1 back in the race with PS4 once MS launches th...

@ManiacMayhem

If my post made little sense to you I recommend making an honest attempt to comprehend what I wrote rather than just looking at the configuration and spacing of the letters I typed.

"Gamers have no idea what this game is demanding from consoles and yet the are automatically blaming the Xbox One for what they think the game should be running at."

Actually, they do. Do you know how? From years of gaming experience. Let m...

VG has no credibility. I'm not saying it is closer, but it wouldn't surprise me if VG started slanting their numbers to reflect a pro-PS4 and anti-XB1 bias, for the time being, simply to make people forget how they were exposed for the MS fanboys they are when they doubled Xbox sales and had them beating PS4 every week of April.

I don't know why people are agreeing with you, as Bungie was questioned on not targeting 60fps and responded with their answer about achieving parity. It's not that they couldn't do it. It's that they wouldn't. Now, if you want to debate why they wouldn't, feel free.

@Unholy_One

It's not a conspiracy theory. It's what they said. They just stated it more diplomatically than saying, "We gimp the game to achieve parity."

@Destrania

I considered that, and it's still worth considering, but the resolution is already going to be different between current and last gen. I don't see why they would suddenly gimp next gen versions to create parity between gens.

I don't need to keep trying. Herb Dean has already jumped in to stop the fight. It really wasn't difficult. You provide a lot of material, which I just copied and pasted in the re...

The call out demonstrated exactly what it was meant to: that you are immune to reason and prone to illogical statements. Not only could you not accept what Naughty Dog was saying about DX12, but you went so far as to insist that they were afraid. Yet, do you take any accountability for being proven wrong, again? Nope.

As for that deal, let's inject some reality. You have one, well deserved, bubble. I have five. Going by that, I already have more...

@alex

I would pretend to be amazed at your comment, but I talked to a couple of XB1 owners over the weekend that actually believed the XB1 is already ahead of the PS4, even in sales.

@Truefan

Remember when Naughty Dog tried to warn about hyping DX12 for XB1 to unrealistic levels and you responded with:

"ND must be threatened to issue this statement, especially saying pure marketing hyperbole. He sounds like all of you, ...

And just what is your extreme standard for judging someone a true XB1 fan? Is it making extreme and hyperbolic statements like you engage in?

You engage in illogical hyperbole routinely and refuse to be accountable for it. That's pretty disingenuous to challenge peop...

Yeah, of course. Sony throwing a shout out from E3 is proof of evil intent and a Sony/Gaf conspiracy, but MS inviting Gaf to E3 as their guests is a sly ploy to prove Gaf is biased, according to MultiConsoleGamer. The pretzel logic, delusions, and confirmation bias is amazing.
