1) "Is your name SpinalRemains138?"
You know, somehow I don't think it's that person's name either. If the point is to say that you were having a private conversation then I would suggest you PM your childish opinion instead of going off-topic with immature comments in a public comment section.
2) Too bad we're not just talking about your initial comment.
3) I get why you don't want...
What contradiction? People are responding to 1) Your bewilderment that people would prefer a Rihanna theme, something with aesthetic qualities, to a Halo one on their PS3, and 2) Going from saying you wouldn't want her wallpaper to the point of calling her ugly.
I'm not a fan, myself, but I can divorce that from judging her looks, and your opinions on that matter are firmly in the minority. As for the two of you laughing about how she wouldn't make it to your bed ...
@Imalwaysright
Your reply is not only a non sequitur to what I said, but wrong on so many levels.
1) If MS offered money to SE for SE to screw over their fan base, MS IS responsible when SE takes the money to do just that, no matter what MS' reasons were for doing so. You can't just offer someone money to do something shady, then wash your hands of any responsibility.
2) Which is why people have been raging against MS, in addition to ...
Exactly. Click-bait these days. Let's devote an entire article to undermining TLOU's status as the best selling game last month, based on projected sales figures from some game analyst not named Pachter (whom I also wouldn't take seriously).
What takes me out is that I often see statements about selling double last month's consoles and only being available in X number of countries repeated in the media with not even a tenth of the analysis of what exactly tha...
@Imalwaysright
"If MS really wanted to deceive people then why would they come clean about it? "
For the same reason they've reversed course on a number of other matters: their position was becoming too toxic for their bottom line.
They were essentially trying to trick people into buying their console, through the illusion of permanent exclusivity. They know that if they say "timed exclusive" all but an insignificant ...
@Chris12
You won't be deceived, if you analyze comments coming from MS with the understanding that they are masters of prevarication.
Phil Spencer, after the Gamescom media briefing, when pressed on whether TR is a permanent or timed exclusive:
"We're saying what we said on stage: in Holiday 2015, Rise of the Tomb Raider will be exclusive to Xbox. That's the comment. We had a lot of similar questions around Titanfall and the...
@Software_Lover
"I'm not saying it's right what happened. Instead, I'll present a tacit defense of what happened by pushing for those saying it isn't right to shut up and move on, while also not missing an opportunity to once again present multi-billion dollar company Microsoft as a poor victim of unjust persecution."
Do you know why people haven't been this upset in other situations you would like to present as comparable? Becau...
Language is a marvelous thing. You can structure it to create the impression that two groups are mutually inclusive. Say, for instance, people upset about the TR deal and people that harass writers and actors over the TR deal.
Always nice to have confirmation.
How so? The sentiment of that comment is true. The purchasing power of MS' money-hat is diminishing to comic levels.
Console wars are good. What's bad is the last couple of years that have bred a certain type of fan that cares less about making the console wars work for them and more about shilling for a company. That's how we get gloating about money-hatting dlc for an entire generation only to get mad when it comes back and bites us in the butt.
I like how you won't acknowledge that's a response to moves like MS throwing $50 million at GTA IV (a game which cost $100 million to develop) just for timed dlc. I like how certain people want to play the "Sony does as well" game, refusing to acknowledge that MS created this environment. While MS was money-hatting, Sony was letting PS2 franchises like GTA, Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, etc. go multiplat. It's always "Sony does it too," until it's time to p...
@XBLSkull
An interesting perspective. I guess it comes down to trust. Do you trust that money was paid to give customers more, or do you believe it was paid so that the competition's customers get less? It's the same question with digital content. I will say that by the very nature of digital content there's hope to get formerly "exclusive" content later on down the line, whereas with a physical item like a CE you get what you get.
@ThatOne
That's a lot of "maybe." All that we do know is that, very recently, the pattern was continued where Xbox, under Phil, wasted (in my opinion) money buying a big name third party timed exclusive that is unlikely to end up being worth it, at the expense of investing in-house. Right now, Xbox is trying to move units (as evidenced by the TR deal). They aren't going to sell people on "maybe" while continuing the unpopular practices that make pe...
@Septic
Halo: Spartan Assault. Like FH2, an offshoot, but you see where they're having to milk the franchise multiple times within just two years of the console's release.
I think you see signs of that when you look at some of the moves they've been making. They blew all of that money on Titan Fall, eventually having to bundle the game for free and doing price drops. TF's failure to move systems made them have to lower the Xbox price. They didn't achieve that by eating the costs of a price drop. They dropped Kinect instead, after spending time and money developing and promoting it. That also meant abandoning their efforts to push Xbox as the center ...
Considering games take years to develop, why would you wait until the start of a gen to build 1st party studios, especially considering the drought on the 360 before the new systems released?
"Deny it and down vote me all you want but Sony is no better than MS just MS has more money to give out."
I'll vote you down, and explain why. Sony is better about it than MS. So is Nintendo. So is just about every console manufacturer that has entered the game.
Here's what's sold PS4's so far: Knack, KZ, Infamous, TLOU.
Here's what's sold XB1's: Ryse, Forza, Dead Rising, Titan Fall.

@Septic and @n4rc
Now you see the dilemma and just how big the hole is MS has dug for themselves.
Let's give MS the benefit of the doubt and say that they do want to shift to growing their first party talent. Well, as you correctly point out, these things don't happen overnight. But MS has to show something to make gamers believe they are about the games in the Phil era. The solution: money-hat a third party. It's a vicious, costly cycle with dim...
If Sony constantly gloated about their sales VG Chartz wouldn't exist.
@DragonKnight
You're posting in a public comment section. I'm responding to you. There's nothing you can do or will do to stop that. Get over it.
I am replying to the totality of your comments, which you have taken from complaining that people preferred the Rihanna wallpaper to calling her ugly. You'll also notice I called out "two" of you in my original post.
Like I said, I'm confident the metrics I've giv...
