Because it was delayed. Because they can do that. Because, as history and sales prove, "most people" will support the console that's able to push back a major release for polishing by relying on a quality, diverse lineup.

Edit: To the disagrees, I'm not going to demand you use a bubble replying, but ask yourselves what part of my comment you disagree with. Uncharted being delayed? That Sony is in a position to do it? That history and sales prove most people...

Come on, now. Can't be so wrapped up in getting your point out that you don't pay attention to what the person you're responding to said, especially when what was said addresses a major concern raised by your post. ...

"Who mentioned anything about two million?"

The Shenmue 3 Kickstarter page. It's only asking for $2 million with stretch goals maxing out at $4 million.

"Do you have any quotations to back-up what you said?"

"If Shenmue 3 was going to get made, I wanted to make it with the fans. Through Kickstarter, I knew that could happen. Together, with Shenmue fans everywhere, I knew we could buil...

Stop with the "no, just no" and the needless attempt to nitpick language you well understood. Even without breaking down what I said, you know what I meant. But since you want to go there, let's look at it:

"X1 BC is not free. you must own the game on 360 and own a X1."

You first clause is incorrect, regardless of the truth of your second. X1 BC is free. If stores started giving away XB1 consoles, would ...

As a PS gamer, I interpreted it as a shot at PS Now, not the remaster industry.

I noticed. I liked it. I don't own an Xbox anything, but good. It's a contrast that should be called out. People had moved on from pushing for real backwards compatibility. This reopens that door.

People get so personally invested in their preferred systems that console wars are painted as bad to spare overly sensitive feelings. If I can use something the competition is doing to pressure my console manufacturer into delivering the same, good. If the competition is is...

Maybe it's a test to gauge interest. The speed they hit their funding goals with serve as a mandate to justify investment and has the added bonus of saving Sony two to four million in the long run.

I don't see the Halolens being as compatible with gaming as VR. It may find itself limited to certain kinds of games, like motion controls and the dance genre. Taking a bit of the gaming world and displaying it in the real world is nice, but doesn't have the same effect as being fully immersed in the game world.

@chaos999

Why would you be worried about sales, considering the PS4 is crushing the competition? I get the importance of sales. The dominant platform is less likely to pull a Sega Saturn and more likely to get more 3rd party support. But that's nowhere near being a concern for PS4. So why would you dismiss quality games to worry about sales?

@Death

Xbox beating PS by 13,000 in April after losing by 150,000 in March in no way means Xbox gained ground by 163,000 units. Desperation has beaten the stealth out of you.

@aceitman

Ever notice how the whole picture is abandoned for arbitrary frames that suit an argument? Of course Death only goes back to the couple of months where Xbox won. It doesn't suit his argument to go further. It's like how some people try to pretend only ...

@Spotie

You're talking to the same person that used to concern troll PS+ IGC releases trying to get PS gamers to worry that Sony wasn't profiting by releasing games on PS+. Your opening sentence about says it all, except the stealth has been abandoned in favor of desperation as the PS4 has put a beating on Xbox.

Then you should try doing that. Did the protests encourage him to shoot his girlfriend, too? Dude had a beef. That beef is not born from protests. That beef is born from seeing cops get away with abuse. The only question that needs to be asked is would he have even felt the need to administer his own solution had legal and peaceful methods (i.e. the legal ...

He doesn't have a backstory, or even a freaking name, for the same reason the description of the game, on its Steam Greenlight page, lists his actions as "You will..." This bull about not trying to justify actions is just that—bull. Having a name has nothing to do with justifying actions. He doesn't have a name or a backstory because they don't want the character to have an identity. It's supposed to be "you."

There is no moral benefit to Trevor. Not all games have a moral benefit. Some games are violent, even more so than Hatred. But Trevor is an absurd creation in an absurd world engaging in absurd actions that are not a realistic reflection of the world. The people in GTA aren't even a realistic reflection of the world. They're caricatures. The experience of playing GTA is not meant to reflect a realistic experience. Hatred is. What's worse is that it replicates and immortalizes the ...

That analogy is good for pointing out the difference between arcade type games and games that serve as simulators.

Hatred is a mass killing simulator that attempts to give you a faithful recreation of being one of the notorious figures that infamously make it into the headlines. That's the real issue being ignored, above even the violence. There have been more violent games, but, as the dev's comments allude to, Hatred differs from them in the context of how they pre...
