Up until this rev, GT has never released their Prologue titles in North America. If you look up the word prologue in the dictionary you will find this definition.

An introductory scene, preceding the first act of a play, opera, etc.

By calling it that I'm definitely not hearing the full game even if it's not a demo.
Now don't get me wrong. Polyphony is a company that wants to get their game right. They want to satisfy their fans and in order for them to do ...

...if religious nuts are any indication, God wouldn't be big on video games. :(
He'd log into online games and start quoting himself.

I can't even point out trolls without fueling other trolls. This site is on a slippery slope downhill.

The only way PS3 is stealing me is when I can buy GT5 (not Prologue) and dual shock controllers :)

You've said the same thing in both Huxley stories.

... Xbox Live contract does state that if there are any charges required for a game, they will not be covered by the Xbox Live membership. As such any MMOs that come to the Xbox will most likely require an additional fee that you will have to pay besides your membership fee.
This being said. If you're only a Silver member you can still play MMO type games on Xbox, only having to pay the fee of the MMO. Well at least that's what I read from their information.

Wouldn't it be easier for these companies to package the hard drive's separately and allow you to make a "combo" purchase at the store?
Seriously, if you walk in and are able to buy the console and receive a hard drive with it for a discounted price, it would allow for one SKU.
I admire Sony for their use of standard hard drives in their system as compared to Microsoft's "u bai our crap" mentality, but I'd heard that they'd changed other things between the SK...

Catering to a market of casual gamers doesn't sound like a future market. Unlike people who buy PS3 and 360 consoles, the new market that Nintendo has garnered are not hardware hungry. I'm guessing that they will be happy with their Wii and their Wiisports.
I'm not saying that there aren't people with Wiis that will want a "next big thing" console, but those people aren't the new market, they're the loyal Nintendo customers.

Although they now have this broader ...

The weird thing is that they just had id and EA say that they would be releasing games for Apple. Has that changed?

I know the answer!! They're Actors!!

Just kidding. I hope you don't think I'm attempting to belittle your point.

The thing about Blu-Ray is that for the most part, it's already out there.
The word "news" is the plural of "new" and if something has been said more than once it shouldn't be considered news anymore.
That given. If a new technological use for Blu-Ray shows up, I'd love to hear about it. If something cool is being done with PS3s in mass-super-computing arrays, I love to hear about it.
What I don't want to see is 500 more "Blu-Ray kicked HD-DVD in...

This is one of those nice stories you hear about every once in a while.

It's a lot nicer than the kid who made the Gears of War action figure for his friend or relative (I can't remember which) and ended up getting a cease and desist letter from Epic.

I'll admit that there have been quite a few RPGs released for the Xbox but were they all quality games?

I only played Mass Effect and Oblivion and loved both of them. I don't enjoy JRPGs enough to be able to say whether or not they were well made.

Ya took the comment right out of my mouth ICUP :)

With the PS3 being the cheapest "quality" Blu-Ray system out there it was a no brainer to pick it up. This boosted sales of the system.
If there are alternatives to picking up the PS3 people might do that instead.
So basically... what I'm saying... is ... I agree with the people above. :) Sony drop the price. But I probably won't pick up a system until there's a Dual Shock controller packed in with it ;)

I agree with you 100%. I'll believe that HD downloads are a viable substitute to owning a Blu-Ray drive only if the cost of downloading the movie is equivalent or less than going out to BlockBuster and renting it. Sure there's the convenience of not having to drive to the rental store, but then there's also the inconvenience of having to watch what Microsoft deems good for me to watch. Seriously, the XBLM has no selection and it gets updated, what every 2-3 weeks?

And then th...

I beg to disagree with this generalization. For the most part Wii owners are brand new to the whole video game arena. Remember that Nintendo has tapped a new audience. People who couldn't care less about hardcore gaming and as far as most of them will be concerned, the Wii is going to be as far as they go.
