Unfortunately this same online magazine showed the ATI walking all over the Nvidia a couple of days ago.

Also look at the following link. Evidence that the ATI is doing quite a bit better than the Nvidia while running Crysis. Note the lower amount of memory being used by the ATI.

Crytek should be looking at what co-op did for Gears of War. It would have sold a lot of copies regardless but I'm sure the online co-operative mode played a big part in that.

Well obviously they'll be "tuning" the engine to the point at which the 360 and the PS3 will be able to handle the performance.
We won't be playing games that bog down. We might end up with lower poly counts or have a few less features but I'm sure they won't let the engine run terribly on the consoles. You don't sell games or license the engine that way.

Wouldn't delaying Forza2 cause it to end up competing against Project Gotham 4? It's probably not in MSs best interest to do that. Obviously they play differently but for me a racing game is a racing game and if they're both out on the market at the same time, I'll probably buy one and wait for the other to come down in price before picking it up.

I'll have to agree with you on that. When I build a new machine it'll be in order to play DX10 games. I wanna see which card handles running Crysis better. :D

The Two Worlds website, http://www.2-worlds.com/ doesn't say anything about a PS3 version but I hope they do make one. When awesome games come out I believe developers should do whatever they can to put the game on as many systems as possible. I like my 360 but I don't see why anyone should be forced to purchase one particular console to play certain games.

I'm looking forward to this game in a big way! The variety in environments looks intriguing and they really do the dark gothic look very well! It'll definitely be in my game library. :)

There is damage in the game and it is both cosmetic and effective. I saw a video on http://gameplanets.blogspot... where the vehicle damage was bad enough that the car couldn't continue.

My favorite video of this group is #4 where the vehicle loses its hood and you can see the engine torquing around. :)

Hooray for quality taking precedence over release date! Seriously. I'm looking forward to this game, but I'd rather it be perfect than have it now. :)

I agree! The districts or areas in each of the previous GTA games has been a charicature of the actual area. Basically put in the obvious features of the area and then trim down the boring stuff so there's not so much of it.

I love what they've done for the environment in this game. A post apocalyptic world set in a 40's/50's scene is just awesome.
These guys are the gods of creepiness. Especially after what they did with System Shock 1 and 2. The number of times I had to walk away from my computer while playing their other games is a testament to it. :)

I can't wait!

@ Sevir04 yeah I'm crying that the Xbox doesn't have any racers with one gameplay mode and cruddy online support ;) jk

@Tut Here's a link to the gameplay video. The quality's not the best and you need to sti through a bit of the description first but it's there. http://gameplanets.blogspot...

For these authentic games, the software developer houses need to licence the cars from the auto manufacturers. When this is done there are certain stipulations as to what can be done with the car in tha game. I'm sure there's clauses to ensure that "there won't be dead babies nailed to the hood of the car" or other things that might hurt the image of the auto manufacturer.

As a reason I'm sure most of these companies don't want their vehicle to appear damaged in the...

You obviously haven't seen the video of Dirt where they actually show the damage engine in full effect.
Basically the guy hits 2 trees. After the first tree his vehicle is mashed up and not performing well. After the second it's not functional and he's out of the race.

Compared to Motorstorm where your car reappears magically healed I'd say that makes the game much more challenging.

I don't remember making any references to a "Blind Spot".

The point I was trying to get accross was that in order to produce the images that the author of the blog was referring to the rendering still has to be done at high resolution and then scaled back to 480P when a computer is doing the work.

Bombzombie has a much better description of why this is below.

I suggest everyone send the author's editor a note to let them know that Mr. Romero isn't exactly an important industry personality anymore. Maybe people will stop quoting his inane ramblings.
