Actually the new Killzone visuals are obviously not CGI. You can tell by looking at the comparison pics that were posted by Condoleezza Rice. In the third set of pictures the CGI is on the left. You can tell that the right one is from in game because they had to lower the polygon count of the models for the game. In particular look at the torso armor that the character is wearing just at the shoulder. In the left screen it's nice and rounded and conforms to the shoulder where as in the rig...
Well the only bonus that I can see coming from this is that Rockstar might think twice about making GTA V a PS3 exclusive.
If the 360 sells this many copies they might try to work something out with MS to ensure that their game can have a bunch of content installed on a hard drive. If they want to make the next GTA larger MS is going to have to give a little on their "No Harddrive" rule.
I'm ok with that seeing as I'd love to see what Rockstar does nex...

Was this patch optional? I'm just wondering because if it is and not everyone installs it right off the bat, it will take some time before the server load is alleviated. Otherwise Gamespy needs to up their server performance.

I'm really having problems understanding Rockstar's logic on this one. If MS puts out a 360 with Blu-Ray only a handful of people are going to have that console and they will receive maybe 5% of the sales that they received for this iteration of the game.
If they don't put the game out for the 360 at all they'll be losing all of the revenue that they would have received.

Actually the PS3 has a slightly slower DVD speed than the 360. It is not 12x, only 8x. One of the reasons that the Xbox sounds like a hovercraft is because of the speed of it's DVD drive.
I'd like to remind everyone that due to the variable weather in this game. Pointing out the differences between the game running on 2 separate consoles doesn't work so well.
In the screenshot by the 69th Street Diner they didn't even bother to make sure the time of day was the same.
