...for me one way they could make it a great game would be to put it out on the Xbox. ;)
I know it's not going to happen anytime soon. I just can't afford a PS3 atm. :(
Nice try. Any MMO that tries to come close to Warcraft is going to have to have server farms far larger than anything Sony's prepared to give away free.
Even Final Fantasy 11 has a monthly fee. There's no way Sony could afford the bandwidth and hosting costs to keep an MMO that could compete with WoW going without charging the users a fee.
Would 10 million people owning a PS3 be willing to pay 15 dollars a month to play one game online?
heh... how much of the script is made up of Kaboom's and bang bang bang bang! ;)
If you don't have enough staff to develop for both platforms it makes sense to only program for one console. Otherwise you're pretty much running away from money.
...that Nintendo doesn't even know what they're doing. :)
I can't afford one as of yet and I'm gonna need something to do when my 360 eventually goes on vacation.
Then they have to put Herbie in as well, but nobody gets to drive it. Just a VW with an insane AI driving around the track.
Trying to keep it cool will not help. I thought it would. I have lots of space around mine and have suggested the same to my friends. One friend had it sitting out in the open, up on legs so there were 2 inches of free air flow below it and it wasn't in an enclosed area. He just shipped out his coffin this last weekend.
Mine is in a slightly more confined space but still lots of air flow around it and it's been going steady since I bought it.
I think it's simply a machi...
Do they not read the box and see the ESRB warning, "Experience may change online"?
My problem was in Shenmue II when I came to the conclusion that there would be no forklift driving. A part of me died at that moment.
Letting your children play xbox online unsupervised is no different than letting them wander around the downtown area of your city at night.
In my opinion it would be best if you kept your children off of Xbox live entirely. My ears can use a rest. :)
I played the single player portion of the game and then stopped. Having a purely puzzle based MMO can never work. The solutions to the puzzles get posted online in a week and before long everyone's finished everything.
I run Vista simply because I built a new PC and that was the only OEM OS available. It's not horrible, it looks nice and I've found it to be more secure than XP.
I wouldn't upgrade if you have no reason to though.
I run Vista and play WoW, Half-Life2, and Enemy Territories as well never really had any issues.
At this rate I guess we can expect to see, "Why burning sensations when you pee is a good thing!" any day now.
Yeah, I'd already read your post above in regards to the number of tracks. There were around 15 posts made between the time I opened the comments page, read the article and typed my comment. :)
Are they saying that there will be 3 different locations each with two different track layouts?
The way it was worded made it seem like there were 6 tracks with two different layouts each which would mean a total of 12 different runs.
**EDIT: I just saw above that this article was misleading. I read above to see that there are 6 locations with 2 track configs each for a total of 12.
I can't believe they didn't show performance specs on World of Warcraft. I mean... isn't that the only game people play on PCs anymore?
UT3 sold like 2 copies.
I can't remember what game it was but the weirdest one I've ever heard was, "Get outta my way!".
I just thought it was so out of place.
