Agree 100%. World of Warcraft is not owning because it has stunning graphics. It's owning because it's "accessible". It has a learning curve which makes it great for new players. It can run on virtually every PC out there.
This game will be a flash in the pan. Seeing as it's being developed by a Korean company it's quite probable that the game play will involve a ton of grinding and the story won't be up to snuff.
Is it possible that he was just referring to the player needing to rotate one of the analog sticks around?
I really like the 360's controller. I never really noticed anything wrong with the D-Pad until someone mentioned it. Then I started paying attention to it and realized that it was a pretty poor design.
That's the only point at which I like the DualShock controllers over the 360 controller.
As to Cliffy B's comment about the buttons? I think he's wrong. The number of buttons is just fine. If he wants to make games that only use one or two buttons, that's fine. H...
Why don't they just call it what it is? Windows Vista II!
I guess that's cool. It's a picture... wheee!
PacMan Championship Edition 2?
Is too!!

Next Bungie title is "Doug Unplugger: Space Janitor"!!!
What?!! Am I the only person who is confused by this? Kids are able to figure out that you shouldn't kill people even though you can kill them in the game, but as soon as it comes to morphine they're clueless?
Everyone on the ratings board concerned should slap themselves.
Unless the price was incredibly reduced I couldn't see myself forking out money for it.
Why would I want to pay good money for an HDTV (with built in console) only to have to buy an entirely new TV when the next gen of consoles comes out?
Well I can see why Samsung would be happy about it. :)
He's mad because the Unstoppable Force, isn't.
Actually Blizzard did 'develop' both Diablo and Diablo II. Perhaps you're thinking of a different game?
I can agree with some of what he says regarding the gameplay of GT5. When cars have different performance ratings in these games, the usual outcome is that everyone picks the same car and the races seem to become a parade for a particular car model rather than a game where everyone gets to have a different looking vehicle but race on an even play field. I do not, however agree with his slags toward the graphics. GT5 looks pretty darned impressive. His comments regarding the level of realis...
The lack of variety of voices in Oblivion was ok. One of the things that really annoyed me was that the lines that for the most part the voice work in Oblivion sounded very un-exciting although that was probably the result of having 2 voice actors reading lines for 5 weeks without sleep.
@hazeblaze - someone seems grumpy because they named themselves after a lackluster game. ;)
World of Warcraft will end when Blizzard says so. As long as it continues to make money and Blizzard is certain that the game hasn't lost it's vitality it will continue.
It's going to be Computer Generated Generated?!
People need to learn that CGI stands for Computer Generated Image.
Well actually I picked TF2 up from Valve. EA never saw a penny of it. EA won't be seeing any more of my money until they stop gouging their customers for ever penny.
I always imagined the Niko from the game as a much happier person. This Niko almost looks like he's been taking the Max Payne facial expression course.
Not just the PC. Boycott them on all fronts. That's the only way they'll feel the sting.
I explained, in my comment, as to why it was accessible. The ability to run it on virtually any PC (or MAC) first allows it to be "accessed" by more people. Then the fact that it starts you off quite gradually helps people who aren't usually into video games get a hang of how the character is played.
As for the grind? It's possible to get a character from level 1 to level 70 purely by doing quests. Admittedly as far as quests go, there are only a few different types...
