Same here, have a couple games that allow a "capped" framerate... and damn was I blown away in TLOU for PS4 when I would switch between the two.
It's true, once you see a game running at 60 FPS you don't ever want to cap it at 30. I have no idea who these people are who can't tell a difference between 60/30 FPS.
How many people don't understand that these aren't real quotes and the entire article was written to be funny?
It's satire, it's not a real quote from anyone.
Well yeah I am not saying that having, creating, owning new IP's is bad. IP's are good regardless for consoles regardless of "how" they got there.
I strongly believe there's something to be said for "the way you do your business". I love new IP's for my PS4/Wii U and want X1 to get good exclusives because the more and better X1 exclusives are, the harder the PS4/Wii U devs will try to up their own game.
That said... I per...
"Agree on IP, we need to own more.
-Phil Spencer
Not that it means anything, but I love how he uses "own" in relation to attaining new IP. Funny with all the talk about MS "buying" exclusives throughout the years that he would say "own IP's" as opposed to create them, fund them, help them, nurture them. I don't know what word he could use but using "own" is very ironic.
You're insecurity is showing in your need to respond to his post defensively.
MS had "the" announcement of Gamescom, 100% believe that. But they in no way won it. Sony had more exclusives and games shown than MS did. If you don't like what they showed then that is your opinion and I certainly won't play EVERY game they showed.
I'll sacrifice a sequel to a mediocre rebooted series for a few months for:
-Wild
-RIME ...
Is it just me... almost all of the hype I had for this game is gone. Not because of anything in particular, but during the drought of 1st party PS4 games I was craving Driveclub.
Now so many awesome games have been announced (and our coming between Oct-March 15') that this game faded away. Looks amazing, but I just don't see me spending money on this when Shadow of Mordor, LBP3, SSMB, The Order, Bloodborne, and Witcher are all coming out over a 5 month span... no ti...
I think the real reason there's an issue is there is something to be said for "the way in which you conduct yourself". Yes, all companies have exclusives of all varieties for a lot of different reasons (see Nintendo/Bayonetta 2 or Rise of Tomb Raider/MS or Destiny/Sony).
Microsoft's approach is like fighting with a sibling and they take a toy that's yours but their reasoning is "well it's not YOUR toy, mom and dad paid for it." Sure, tech...
I am just going to wait until summer of 2016 when SE is mad about sales and the game is released on other platforms to boost sales, then I'll give MS a hard time.
For now, MS did well for grabbing a megaton exclusive like this, even if it's timed. Props to them.
Longshot IMO... isn't Stryker dead? Ermac I can't remember...
Geez 12 old characters? I hate that but respect that they're sticking true to the "story" of the recent MK. Most of the characters are dead. I am sure Liu Kang is back but in his deceased form.
What didn't you like about UC3? It wasn't as incredible as UC2 because well... UC2 had come out. UC3 refined the things that were good about UC1/2. If you don't like UC3 I don't know why you would enjoy the first two. UC1 is my favorite in the series, for what it's worth.
I disagree with TLOU comment though. It is "slower" than the UC series because you're not thrown into gun battles and platforming immediately. But the pace of TLOU was...
VR wasn't made for platforming games, IMO.
Seems that the split has turned out for the better for ND, UC3 and TLOU were terrific games. The latter was game of the year even.
If you can split in two and in two years create a 85+ average review score game to a long-running series while also creating new IP's that win GOTY awards, I'd say you've got some talent.
I think it's a good sign when info like this comes out in conferences :)
Leaves more time for unknown stuff to be announced!
Excited for this game, regardless of where I play it.
Incorrect, it was announced at MS E3 show
Hahaha I don't know if that's trolling or not... but that comment made me laugh out loud.
Made my morning gusgusjr
Props to MS for landing a huge exclusive like this. Although, their wording is appalling "Exclusive in 2015". I've never heard of a game announcement being worded so poorly. Do they think we're stupid?
"Exclusively, on PS4/X1" is always how you hear games like UC4 or something advertised. Obviously this is timed, why the hell even mention "2015" if it's not timed.
I want an HD remake of an old N64/SNES/NES game. Those would the games TRULY worth remastering.
