Mortal Kombat, Metal Gear, Wolfenstein, Pac Man, and Donkey Kong would all like a word
I know that's what was intended, and it wouldn't be bad if they were left alone (Joel/Ellie). I like the poetic nature it would give TLOU if it was only a one-shot thing. I'd admire ND for that.
Saying that... that doesn't mean there ISN'T a story worth telling or that people wouldn't want to play that story as well.
They've set themselves up amazingly with whatever decision they make.
I have no idea, me personally, I was being facetious.
I was curious about the Nordic countries reception to TLOU...
Terrific game, well paced and well told story. I enjoyed the stealth/action combo, don't see that a lot. I don't feel like I fight men repetitively nor do I feel like I have sneak past infected too often. Each time I see these foes it's always a "o shit" moment because I know what I'm in for.
Are these currently on multiplayer primarily? I have only been playing single and single+... I've noticed odd things with images/pieces. They sometimes pop in and out of view if I am staring at an odd angle.
Other than that, at 60 FPS I have found nothing at all wrong with the gameplay. I have played survival and am on survival plus... my one complaint is that the stealth AI is kind of dumb. I can walk up to two runners from behind and kill one without the other one (...
Maybe I am the stupid one... but I don't want to pay $5 a month/$60 a year (or even $30) for:
1) Year old sports games
2) Year old yearly released shooters
3) "limited access, 5 days before the game releases" to new yearly shooters and sports games
AKA for #3 - you get the "full game" but with something (not specified) "limited". What does this mean? Seems like a scam, I get either limited time to play or there is li...
@thebuttonmasher
I used to be on the fence about the whole 30 v 60 FPS thing... but then I played a few games with an option 30 FPS lock (TLOU being the most recent)
I must say... anyone who thinks they can't tell a difference between 30/60 is a moron. TLOU looks gritty and choppy at 30 when compared to 60 FPS. Not saying 30 is unplayable but to say that 60 FPS isn't inherently better is ignorant.
The higher the FPS is ALWAYS the be...
It's not a paperweight if the games available for it you CHOOSE to not play. There's plenty of reasons why my PS4 isn't a paperweight.
Saying the PS4 is a paperweight (or the X1) is a subjective opinion. All these articles and posters say their subjective view as if it's objective and factual. Just because YOU'RE not using the system doesn't in anyway point to it being a paperweight. The user makes it the paperweight.
If you don...
@brish
My personal guess is that 75%-90% of gamers do not frequent online forums/websites as often as the posters on N4G. I'd say the same % of people are misinformed about games I.E.:
-Wii U is a peripheral of Wii
-COD/Destiny are exclusive to X1/PS4 respectively (due to marketing)
-Only play AAA, highly marketed games
... I could go on
I'd say a vast majority of people playing TLOU do not care about the DLC issue. T...
I personally, based off watching SSOD trailers, felt that the characters movement (while more "zany") was very similar to the way Cole in Infamous 1/2 and Delsin w/ Neon in SS. Almost to the point of it looking like a copy & paste.
The powers in SSOD may or may not be similar to Infamous' superpowers but I have no way of knowing now.
It seems like the two games do share some DNA, but that doesn't make them the same animal IMO.
AH I wish this game would to PS4, only for the reason of trophies.
Hesitant to buy it on my 3DS/Wii U because it HAS to come to other systems.
Great story too
That's the saddest article
So many ND games to platinum. I am on a personal joureny (LOL) to platinum every ND game (minus racers and minus crash sadly):
UC1 - done
UC2 - done
UC3 - finished 1st playthrough, now playing on crushing
Jak 1 thru 3 - haven't started :(
TLOU (PS4) - about halfway through Survivor on first play
I honestly wanted to finish all the UC before TLOU was released for PS4, picked all 3 up in April and never got to finish them. ...
You beat me... you bastard!
It has all DLC already released for the PS3 version.
ND said that there is future DLC that will come to the PS3/4 versions at the same time. Probably just MP maps but we can always hold out hope for another singleplayer DLC :)
The remastered edition has all the content that is currently available on the PS3 version already on the disc.
All my plats and all my 100% runs through Zelda games laugh at this mockery of a gaming article.
I think it's because the MS touted "their cloud" as a game-changer for the X1. Almost as if Sony nor any other company would utilize the cloud in an effective way.
To me, that's my issue with MS. They touted Azure servers as some sort of God-send to their system. In reality the cloud will affect the PS4 and X1.
At least to me, that's why I laugh at MS fanboys bragging about Azure servers because it's ignorance to think they (the X...
I think, as dumb as it sounds, that it helped TLOU to be remade this year. I think TLOU:RM does better in 2014 because the original came out in 2013 and the way the console market broke in Nov 2013, it left an incredible opportunity for THAT GAME specifically (TLOU) to do be received well.
I don't TLOU scores "95" average if released in 2023. The hype from last year propelled the remastered editions success, IMO.
MCC won't be received as w...
It's Europe... TGS is in September and will most certainly feature some of the titles mentioned (Guardian, FF15, KH3, JRPG's, etc.) Sony is known for displaying "home" devs at the "home" shows. There are obviously exceptions, this year at Gamescom I think UC4 gets some light. Bloodbourne is the Asian game with some light as well.
This is a EU show, I would wager the following:
1) RAD;s The Order 1886 is given more time/info
2) GG...
