FH2? Must have been put there by a MS fanboy. It didn't look bad but Driveclub does look better. FH2 is a better game maybe but that isn't what they were talking about they were talking about graphics.
After I found that this is online-only I lost all interest.
I don't see the point. I could see this running on an Nvidia Shield because at least that has a full controller attached to a screen. But on a phone? No thanks.
Destiny too, they say you can play solo but still requires online even solo. WTF? That is why I won't ever buy Destiny, the Crew, The Division. I suppose most of these companies REALLY want us online at all times so they can sell us extra crap like DLC, season passes and microtransaction us to death. If you are offline they can't entice you with that stuff so easily.
I never play online and don't buy subscriptions to those services.
The thing is even though I play SP games I need to go online once in awhile to get patches for their buggy incomplete rushed out games.
With the PS4 you can get OS updates required for new games on the disc itself. If you put in a game that needs a newer OS version they are nice enough to put it there on the disc.
The X1 REQUIRES an internet connection to use. you can...
Wow you are right, I knew I made a big mistake not choosing the xbone over the PS4.
Don't use "the Order" for an example. It has big black bars to reduce resolution and depth fog everywhere to hide reduced draw distance. Then it is only a linear corridor shooter. Sure it may appear decent on the surface until you realize how many tricks/compromises were used to get there. If anything it shows the weaknesses rather than strengths.
The wonders of buying digital only. They can take it at any time. If you have the game and want it you better hope you didn't delete it for space or your HDD never fails. This is why physical is better, you always have access to your stuff.
Yeah, parity. That one more thing I would like to see gone. If a console or PC has some advantages use them even if it does cause "debates and stuff".
@sckipt
DriveClub was rushed out unfinished and they deserve the flak for that. If you buy the game on disc you get an incomplete game with no weather etc. This release unfinished, patch later thing is annoying. Imagine when you need to start deleting games for HDD space and/or your HDD needs replacement. You would then need to re-download massive gigs of patches taking many hours just to get all of the games back to complete/working status. If they came out complete and...
I don't see their side at all. Who the hell are they to dictate what other people do with their free time?
Maybe families want to play, maybe they got new consoles that need updates to play new games in the case of X1 (Sony games include OS updates on game discs and install if needed). Who knows, who cares, it is pretty arrogant for these twats to think they know what is best for others. Mind your own damn business you little lizard-nerds.
A Skyrim remastered with all of the DLC and quest script bugfix patches included would be great for current gen consoles. I would buy that.
The question we need to ask is what did they downgrade to get the better performance? They already removed "god rays" from the PS4 last patch, what will this do reduce foliage or something?
Article: "It seems that with continuous improvements to both consoles, the performance gap is indeed narrowing down."
Um, for the performance gap to narrow, X1 would have to improve while PS4 would have to stagnate (possible I suppose). Otherwise if *both* improve as they say the gap would stay the same, Duh!
Also all of the software in the world won't change hardware. The GPU in the X1 is not quite as good that is just a fact. If the X1 SDK ...
All I want is external HDD support. I buy physical but I would like to be able too keep all of the patches for games played so when they are taken offline I still have access to them.
@ziggurcat
How did they skimp on resolution? 800 < 1080 pretty simple math. They skimped out on 280 lines of resolution. That is pretty significant. It can't be 1080p without the 1080!
I would rather have a full image. I don't like the idea of this making my TV smaller and the image harder to see.
Too bad they made these consoles so weak, To think they can't do these graphics at a full 1080p res is sad. They would have n...
Titanfall? Really? 792p and loads of screen tearing doesn't look so visually stunning to me. Maybe replace that with SSO if you need an x1 exclusive in that spot.
Wrong article dude: "...Which game for my PS4?"
I know xbox fans love beating their chests over FH2 but really.
All those things you mention (story, exploration, gameplay variety, progression) is because they can focus on tailoring the SP experience. If they jammed in MP just to do it things would need to change and not for the best as far as the SP part. There are compromises. For one thing if you are running netcode and threads to handle all of the MP aspects the graphics would need to be downgraded accordingly effecting the SP experience too. Also since dev resources are always limited, MP deve...
The Wii U is not doing great because of Nintendo. When they released it the FIRST party support was dismal. They had no must have titles for the first year and what third party games they had were worse versions of Xbox 360 games.
It was like they were caught off guard by the release of their own system. There was no Smash, No new Zelda, No 3d Mario (there was only a 720p 2d sidescroller that looked like a buffed up SNES game), No Mario Kart, etc. There is still no mention...
