It takes more than "believe". It takes allot of coding and hard work. It also takes hardware that can pull it off. It is always a tradeoff. ANY game could run at 60 FPS if you downgrade the graphics enough. Reduce texture quality, shadows, bring in draw distance with aggressive LOD etc. Sometimes studios would rather have better visuals than extra frames. It is an art decision. A game like this is probably better with improved visuals instead of a little smoother..
Yeah I get tired of all of these articles claiming "rip off", "cash grab", "double dip". No one is forcing anyone to buy them. It can only be a "Rip off" if someone makes you buy the game again at gunpoint.
There are many games I would like to buy for current gen. Honestly a remaster of Skyrim with all DLC and high res textures and better lighting at 1080p would almost make me pre-order, and I never pre-order. Also how about a remas...
Um no. The console versions look terrible in comparison. The LOD is awful in consoles as in draw distance less than 0% setting on PC. That means at the lowest possible setting on a PC it STILL is better than the consoles.
I bought this on PS4 as I don't have a gaming PC. I was very disappointed. The shadows pop up right in front of you, there is this awful horizontal line on floor in front of you where textures turn to a blurry mess 1 meter away. I don't know i...
Actually 10 hours is pretty short too. Any decent SP-only game should be at least 30 hours otherwise it is a ripoff. Then there is the fact that it isn't full HD and is only rendering 800 lines instead of full 1080p. It should be a full 1080p to be considered good graphics, otherwise they are cheating. You could make it look even better if it was 480 lines, where to stop?
Not every single game needs MP crammed in it just to do it. The game is short enough, if they had to spend some of those resources doing MP too (basically a whole other game) it would even be shorter.
The gripe with this game is that it is reportedly short at only 8 hours. If it is going to be SP only fine, but at least make it longer. I just get the feeling much was ripped out to sell you later as DLC. Then you have those intrusive annoying black bars cutting off almost ...
Well with those massive and intrusive black bars masking off almost 1/4 of your screen in this game your projector will magically transform into a 100" screen! At least you have some size to spare.
It is not hard to do when the game is only using around 75% of full HD resolution and your TV screen. It is a big cheat reducing your field of view by almost 1/4. To me those annoying black bars kill the game, I don't want to be squinting through a narrow strip the whole time. If they can't do the full 1080p res (and obviously they can't) then just do 900p and upscale it. While a little more pixely at least you get full size.
CPU king? hardly a king , but it is the GPU pauper.
They why do many third party games run at a higher resolution with better detail on the PS4?
Because the CPUs are the same with only a slightly faster clock on the x1, while the GPU is much better on PS4 that is why. This proven by that benchmark where the x1 did only 15 more renders with CPU but the PS4 GPU nearly doubled the number. Nice try, better luck next time.

So you want PS4 games to be always online? They would need to be to use the "cloud".
No thanks, I like to have the option to play games offline and get the graphical bump due to a better GPU.
Except there is no need because there is no mystery. Everyone knows that a decent PC will look better. By just comparing screenshots they are only talking about graphics, and I doubt any PC gamer will need this guide to "make a buying decision" as they already know the PC, as always, is the better looking version.
A better comparison would be between xbone and PS4 as those are closer in power.
That is because they made the xbone version then ported to the PS4 with no enhancements. They stated they made both at graphical parity and they look identical. If they used the extra bit of GPU on the PS4 it could have more of the PC effects turned on. No it still wouldn't match the PC, but it would have been a bit closer.
Good, now hopefully no 6 GB "day one patch" will be needed to fix and finish the game.
Extra freckle? Troll fail.
A decent PC will be superior to the xbone in every way. AA, AO, textures, shadows, lighting tessellation, draw distance, resolution, framerate, I could go on. Even the meager PS4 runs this game at a higher res than X1, the Xbone is at the bottom of the heap man.
@Tctczach
I didn't know Skyrim was out on the PS4 and X1. I wish it was though.
Just hope your HDD never fails (how long would it take to re-download 15 or more full games? ouch!). Hope you never want to sell or trade a game, and hope the games remain on the servers forever so you are never locked out of your own stuff. While convienient sometimes, the idea of a third party having total control (DRM) of "my" game library and how, when and where I can use it is not worth it to me.
And this is why games are rushed out and broken. If a publisher should delay a game because it is a mess they won't as gamers will go mental and demand refunds.
While I know this is a different case, gamer impatience is partially to blame for glitchy junk being released. It just encourages them to release in whatever state it is in by the date, then finish later with loads of patches later.
Yes I am ready for a great WWII FPS. One with a good long campaign. The mood in those were great and immersive.
If not COD, bring back the Medal of Honor series and do it there. Those were great, long campaigns, and harder. In those if you were injured you needed to find and manage health packs. None of this magical auto-heal crap, it was more strategic and there were consequences for playing sloppy.
Also the DRM and the fact that If you need to re-install it takes very long. That is if you can re-install, eventually these games will be taken down and you will lose access to your game. You are basically handing over control of your game library to a third party. No thanks.
If they allowed you to back up the game file (it only works on your account anyway so no piracy) then I might be for digital. Until then physical still for me.
Well they passed on the "good console" for the GREAT console.
Or they could have subsidized the loss on the more powerful hardware through game sales, Just like they give away razors so they can make the money on blades. Then you have the fact that hardware gets cheaper to make over time so losses would be mostly in the beginning and then come to profit later. I could kind of see Sony going on the cheap as they don't exactly have tons of money to throw around. There is no excuse for MS though, they are drowning in cash. They have so much they do...
