"My console is always connected to the internet. I dont have a problem with it. I also tend to play MP games more than SP games. "
That is you not everyone is like you. I and others are the opposite. I hate online MP games, it is the same old shoot, re-spawn repeat with different "maps" filled with annoying brats. Many prefer a story or SP experiences. Skyrim was great, ES online sucks for example.
" So i...
Too bad they didn't spend more time in QC though. The game "The Glitcher 3" is a broken buggy mess but I guess that is the new standard this gen.
"We have The Elder Scrolls Online for the PS4 and Xbox One, so when I'm talking about Elder Scrolls on next-gen, I'm pointing at that," Hines said.
Except that most people don't want a crappy online-only multiplayer only ES game, we would rather have the much better Skyrim.
Well Gates isn't in control of MS any longer, he has been gone for years. Minor detail.
I still don't see what is so great about Steam. All that is is a digital download service with loads of DRM. It is too restrictive on where you can play games. If I were a PC gamer I would avoid Steam and go the warez and torrentz rout, at least there you truly own the game and aren't restricted with draconian DRM.
A problem that no one really talks about is the fact that the xbone REQUIRES an internet connection. If you want to play a new game often you need to update the xbox OS before you can play it. They don't put that update on the game disc, so no internet ,no play. The PS4 on the other hand has the OS updates on the game disc. So if you need to update to play the game it is there, no connection required. That may not sound like a big deal but for worldwide sales it can be. Not all cou...
Yeah Foe you also get the third party titles on xbox, but they look better on PS4. Whether you want to admit it or not The PS4 GPU is stronger hardware and 1080p looks better than 900p. Many including me notice the crisper picture.
As far as better exclusives that is totally subjective. Both have good exclusives.
As long as you are always online, have a good fast connection, and as long as the servers still support the game. If those aren't the case the X1 is still weaker. One has the power inside the other supplements it with an always online connection to someone else's server AKA "cloud".
Before spiking the ball in the end zone and taking a victory lap though you should wait and see how things work out. CD3 had a demo in a room with optimal conditions and all se...
The NSA can't spy on you through a door lock though.
And what constitutes "connected to the internet"? I would bet that that 95% is the number that connect at least once. That doesn't mean that those 95% are ALWAYS connected you know. Many will go online sometimes to get updates and patches, then disconnect. Or they will go online if playing MP but then disconnect while playing SP. I do that allot. Connection as a choice is much better than when it is a REQUIREMENT for use.
unfortunately that requires an always online console. That was MS goal and is seems they are slowly implementing it through "cloud" compute titles. The problem is that not everyone wants to be always online (some can't) and the gotcha's that come with it. Most of that being that your games will all expire as server support is pulled. Do we really want to spend hundreds maybe thousands on a game library that will be at the mercy of a third party to continue support, which ...
Meh, I would rather have a Skyrim remaster for the PS4 with all DLC on disc and using PC textures at 1080p.
Give me that and I will pay full price.
The problem with digital only is that it is filled with DRM and you don't really own the games. Want to replay an old SNEs game? You can because the games are physical but if that system was digital only all of the games would have been pulled from servers by now. Had a big library? Poof! it is gone, or they would re-sell you everything again with virtual console ripoffs.
The other problem with digital is they control the price. They can keep the games at $60.00 forever...
I think MS will go all digital before Sony. The xbone as it is REQUIRES an internet connection at least once in awhile for OS updates now. They don't put updates on the game disc like Sony does, so no internet no updates, no OS updates, no playing new games.
Sony on the other hand will probably put in their new 4K blu-ray drive in the next system to help promote it's use like they did with Blu-ray and PS3.
I also think the Xbox two will be much more...
What possible reason? Well there is the fact that one is more powerful and said multiplatform games look better on it ie 1080p. Vs 900p.
@dcbronco
Old PCs from years ago couldn't do this game as it is at 1080p, unless by years ago you mean a couple. If they are pushing the PS4 GPU then dx12 is not going to allow it to run on x1 and look as good. If they could that means it could have looked even better on the PS4.
"host of patches" lol. We have indeed been trained that we will be getting a buggy broken mess at launch. It is sad what gaming has become, I remember when you would buy the game disc and it worked. Woe to those without internet.
The perspective takes some of the scare out. You are looking at characters from kind of far off. If this was first person like P.T. or at least closer in third it would be scarier.
Also the writing seemed kind of dumb. As if after being chased by a monster you are going to stand outside in the snow half naked and basically screaming "hey monster here I am, come get me".
Oh man don't tell the guy to get The Odor. It is a terrible short QTE fest with no gameplay.
I would suggest a rental or if you can get it in the bargain bin for $10.00.
1080p. That alone makes the PS4 my favorite. While xbone does it sometimes too, 900p is all too common on it. Since I sit closer to my TV I can see the difference and upscaled 900p is too blurry/pixely/aliased for me and has too many upscale filter artifacts.
