Its about control. You see when, not if, they eventually shut down the server your game even if physical is useless. It is a way to build in an expiration date that they determine.
Well there is always retro and current games. Just don't buy digital on console as once they remove the titles from the servers you wont be able to get them back if your HDD crashes or hardware breaks. With discs you can always put them in any console and play.
You are comparing games that have both to ones that have one type only? Not a fair comparison. If you want to compare, compare MP only to SP only. As of now The MP only BF Star Wars is higher on the sales charts.
I personally don't play MP games at all. I just don't like the online experience but that is just me. The day that SP goes away in favor of MP-only is the day that says the internet has ruined gaming.
And the secret second layer of the stacked GPU. ..
Yeah if you want the PS4 to be an always online required console. I don't.
Maybe it will get GOTY but it will really mean Glitch of The Year.
Is it that hard to get up an get the disc? Have we become that lazy? Your way for digital is ok except you always need to be online to do it. No online no play.
I don't like the idea of always being online, even when playing a single player game. You do know these companies track everything you do and data mine you when online.
Since you don't truly own console digital only games due to DRM I would probably switch to PC. Hell you can't even back up patches on console with physical releases, delete the game to free up space and the patches go away. If you want to re-install and play later you need to re-download the whole freaking patch for an hour again, that is stupid. On PC you can back up patches, you only need to DL once, much better.
Then you have GOG with no restrictive DRM on PC and ...
That stuff probably only happens if you are close enough. I bet if you were a certain distance away the dog would just spawn home.
Street Fighter? LOL really. You just mention it for arguments sake, it isn't in the same league. Do you really care about SF? Does anyone care about silly arena chop-socky games anymore? I have a PS4 but forgot about SF5 until you mentioned it, and will forget about it again 5 minutes after I type this.
'Cause MS has shiploads of money they don't know what to do with. If they felt it would give them a boost they would do it. It was a jerk move but that is MS for you, the same guys that wanted to foist online DRM and Kinect on us.
Because who the hell cares about a stupid fighting game? It is no where near the same thing. Fighting games are so 1990's. That ship has sailed, and sank. It is like complaining about not having Pac-Man or Galaga on your system.
Hopefully it won't need any patches at least, maybe this will be the first PS4 game released that isn't a buggy unfinished mess at launch. If this game needs a day one patch on PS4 I will laugh my ass off.

FF7 is a remake of an old turn based game, RotTR is a whole new game. Even if your scenario was true xbox got the better deal.
I do think a 1 year exclusive of any game is bad though. It should have just been for the holidays, a few month delay at the most.
Definitive editions are over. Right, And we should all be still buying/watching movies on VHS tape. The movie is always the same with the same ending, who cares if it looks much better with higher rez and better picture quality on Blu-ray right? I guess movie remasters are over too if you go by this article.
And PSnow is a graphical DOWNGRADE, due to bandwith games streamed usually are lower res or filled with compression artifacts. So remaster= higher resolution DLC included etc, streaming=lower resolution and input lag. That is not even mentioning the lack of ownership and always online requirement of streaming.
I will take the remaster.
Doubt it. If anything PS4 will be 900p and xbone 720p. PS4 will always be ahead in resolution as long as the studio doesn't aim for artificial parity (or both are 1080p, can't go higher). A stronger GPU is just that, stronger. You don't upgrade a graphics card in a PC to only have the same performance as the old weaker one. It will be like that.
And out of that list as a single player gamer all I care about are the external HDD support and games obviously. I like the usual better resolution and graphics that are more common on PS4 though(and YES I can tell the difference), that counts for something. That is just me so everyone is different.
Seriously out of that list the one I am the most jelly of is ext HDD support. That would be so much better than having to crack open the console and faff about with internal HDD...

Um no you are just wrong. They aren't just new computers with a new OS. They are new computers with a new OS, totally different CPUs, GPUs and memory architectures. It is why older Power PC Macs could not run Intel PC software and visa versa.
Even the X1 isn't true BC. If it was you could just put in a disc ANY disc and it would just work. Now you need to download the whole recompiled game digitally from the internet for it to work, ...
Because parity. They don't want the xbone to look bad in comparison. MS has this marketing deal with them.
