It sounds like an interesting concept, too bad the graphics aren't so good, it looks like a cartoon.
@Moldybread
You mean like a "dictatorship attitude and tell consumers what they want and don't want without asking them" like online DRM with daily check ins to big brother? Forcing gamers to buy a useless camera that they don't want and making it so the system won't work without it? Blocking used games? That would have been the new normal if MICROSOFT had control of the market and could dictate their wishes.
Or a "dictatorship att...
Just like with graphics, remember 360 fanboys boasting about a little higher res in a few multiplat games? Now it is the opposite and the difference is greater but somehow that doesn't matter anymore.
Just like it is with graphics. Last gen when a 360 game ran at a slightly higher res or had a few more blades of grass it was a big deal. They would beat their chests and shout from the rooftops of how much better the 360 was. Now when the PS4 runs games consistantly at higher resolutions with better framerates and effects all you hear is "looks the same to me", who cares about res, it is all about gameplay", "I like the UI better on x1 that is what matters" LOL fa...
You traitor, you should be banished forever!
Except that the weaker GPU is still weaker. All of the software in the world won't change that.
Great, always online games, MS goal from the beginning! Besides the xbone really isn't running crackdown 3, servers are, and are streaming the physics calculations to xbone. Any device capable of fast internet connection can do that.
Fallout 4 could be called a "Hoarder Simulator". Never before would I want to grab and hoard all of the junk I could.
Dying light was good but seemed a bit lacking in scope. It was just a couple of city areas and the missions were just "ok". The graphics were better in DL, but FO4 seemed more fleshed out to me.
And if I like the Fallout 3 formula. If they changed it just so they can say they changed it it might have sucked. Fans would have then rightfully complained "This isn't Fallout!!".
Online only = nope.
@Sevir
You forgot the awful screen tearing on X1 too. I hate screen tearing, even if both were identical except that it would make the PS4 version better.
I don't really care though the online only, MP only restriction makes me avoid it.
Physical= own it forever, digital= own it until server support is pulled, AKA an extended rental. Physical can be re-installed in minutes if previously deleted, digital you need to wait hours to re-download 30+ gigs of game. Physical you can buy sell trade lend, digital download, no. It is about freedom to do what you want with the game disc and not have to ask permission from big brother with the digital DRM.
PC it is a bit different, you can back up your digital games so i...
I think consistency of interface too. With a console you buy game pick up controller and go. With PC many times you need to use KB/M to play, bad if you don't want to play hunched over a computer desk and want to play on the TV. Some times you can use a controller but many PC games don't work well with only a controller. They need many KB commands and controllers don't have enough buttons. Even when you can hack around with controller mapping apps it is a hassle and even then...
The advantage of ownership doesn't need to even have to be related to selling it. It also means you can bring the disc to a friends house to play the game, you don't need to be online to do it, and the physical game will work forever.
With DRM PC games linked to accounts eventually they will expire when they are taken down from servers or online support dries up. Since you need to go online to ask permission to transfer PC games from PC to PC and disc based PC games...
They did don't you remember?
Download voucher? I would want a physical copy. Best to still wait then.
It is behind us, everyone knows the SNES had better graphics and MUCH better sound...
All I notice is the use of image ruining chromatic aberration around the edges in both of the them. Devs are still doing this? I though that gimmick was passé already.
I don't see what the big deal is. The game was crap. All you did was bop crates, jump pits, and collect apples or whatever it was down a linear corridor. The graphics were good back in the day but that was about it. Let sleeping bandicoots lie.
