Crap ones.

Until VR is on Scorpio, then it will be "the future" right?

To bad 3D movies and video don't display in 3D (no head tracking or 360 deg of course but still could be 3D). Kind of defeats the purpose of a 3D capable HMD. It is kind of retarded actually.

I have to admit though, you do look like an idiot using it, jerking your head and waving those big blue balls around.

AKA cheap crap, as in low res display and blurry lenses.

3383d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

Or bad news. Making a profit on each one means it is cheaper to make than the price so you are getting a lower quality VR unit. If they lost on each one that would mean they were putting in better quality parts and making up the profit on software.

It is like PS4 pro. If they put in a UHD blu-ray disc drive but charged the same price that would mean they lost on each unit sold but you got a better featured console. They usually make up the loss on software sales.

Unfortunately. The Pro versions will be gimped for parity with the PS4 slim peasants.

Xbox must have an internet connection, a good one, to update the OS. Microsoft FORCES you online periodically. No update, no new game playing. Not everyone in the world has good internet at all times. This will be a barrier to xbox sales worldwide.

The PS4 can be used totally offline as any needed OS updates are included on game discs (you can't patch buggy games but can still be used) .

I heard it was mediocre at best, a mostly cut and paste of the reboot. It may have been great for xbone because they mostly have online centered games and don't have many games like this, but other than that it is no big deal.

@XXanderXX If you re-read my comment I said I am against it for anything, including Dead Rising 4 while you are naming titles.

Also Deep Down? Vaporware. NMS? you weren't shafted, you were spared LOL.

I doubt you would like your suggestion if the "partner" was SONY and the game was excluded from anything xbox...

It is not a "positive" thing when one group gets shafted (and yes I am against this tactic on BOTH sides).

Who said they spent a year optimizing? They probably just ported it and slopped on the DLC, tweaked a few things to get smooth frame rate (removed a few effects) and that is all.

3386d ago 10 agree6 disagreeView comment

How are they making it seem like a new release? By charging the full new release price that is about it.

I will laugh if the game needs a day one patch after a year delay!

And some don't care about 4K. You will notice better textures, lighting, FOV, level of detail, shadows, AA, AO, frame rate, etc before you will notice a slightly crisper image especially if you sit back where most do from their TV. The smaller the pixel size gets, it is diminishing returns. I hope the Pro and Scorpio have an option for a killer 1080p and 60 FPS mode with awesome effects over a downgraded 4K image with particles and effects stripped out just to hit the 4K number.

@Gwiz

Streaming sucks. The quality is poor, and you need capless internet at top data rates. Anyone who is a videophile would laugh at suggesting streaming is a good replacement for high bitrate blu-ray discs.

(I know it also seems odd but some people actually like owning their favorite movies, not just renting them)

Many people don't care about quality, but then why did they run out to buy 4K TVs?

I saw the Rift and wasn't impressed. It had terrible screen door effect where I could see each sub pixel. The optics were awful, it got blurry as soon as you looked out from dead center with loads of chromatic abberation to top it off.

Assuming that PSVR will be even WORSE because it is cheap and lower resolution I will pass. Also having to stand up and swing those silly balls around for hours can be tiring.

This looks like a promising tech 10 years...

The review is too long. I can do it in three words: It is crap.

VR needs a lot of work still, they need to do a lot of work on resolution and optics to make it worth while and practical. Now it isn't m...

And it will still likely have a day one patch LOL. As if one year of debugging wasn't enough!

They certainly didn't work on the graphics as they look exactly the same.
