Sh*t Microsoft. Next time you develop a piece of hardware, and then have to give away money for people to buy it, just invest it into the actual silicon instead...
The money must've been really good. Bungie's a set of nice guys. I don't think this is sitting too well with some of them either to do things so blatantly passive aggressive like this.
I'm unsure what the disagrees are about?
The game releases in September. There's a non-0 chance that the devs were not able to pick up the June SDK changes and still be ready in time. That's to say, if there's even a problem to begin with.
@60
"Power" in a handheld is there today on high-end phones, and even more is coming. Did you see the latest UE 4 trailer on upcoming hardware?

The only thing lacking on a phone is the controls. I wouldn't lament the power, I would lament losing controls...
Hmmm. The article says the 'camera' will be used but it sounds like just voice will be necessary; so you can ask ANNA where to go and get directions etc.
Remember: Camera == allowing Kinect to dip it's dirty hands back into the GPU cookie jar. Voice == basically same as the 360 and more cookies for the Game.
A good article, marred by it's length and fixation on the topic that the prior 100 articles alread have beaten to death: The Parity Clause.
That's unfortunate because I think the article mentioned other, objective, items that often get overlooked:
- pricing agility
- stage presence at confs
- patching / certification hurdles and expenses
And not just 1 game... 3 entire game _series_. He helped contributed in non-insignificant ways to:
The Jazz Jackrabbit series
Unreal Tournament series
Gears of War series
+consultation on a few popcorn games like Bulletstorm and most likely the initial ideas being Fortnight
Do you not?
It's using N4G's new snap feature. Just scream "N4G, unsap" at your screen and it'll go away.
RAM size doesn't matter if you can't process what's inside it fast enough to display it how you want...
Hypothesis: A digital light sensor connected to an analog servo can out perform a human in the Lightning achievement challenge.
Control group: Unsuspecting humans forced to attempt this themselves using nothing but their weak thumbs.
Result: Hypothesis confirmed
Control group response: Control group unavailable due to their human form being reduced to a pure frothy mix of hatred and frustration energy.
There... now that's science.
Man, Ohio and PA representing both consoles hard (only losing to NY in terms of #fans). That's a bit odd. I grew up in eastern Ohio right on the boarder of PA and wouldn't have guessed such strong support for either console really. I think it just becomes a function of how many folks are on FB.
I'd be semi-ok with 30fps if it really allowed them to push the visuals... but that's not the case here I think.
Witness the fake sky box that tricks you into believing there's all sorts of nice lighting going on but then it doesn't affect the game-world (landscape) at all. What a tease.
Except I already own a console and my laptop (I'm probably never going to have a desktop again) won't hold up (thermal limits kick in after 1-2 hours depending on the game) and I'm at least a year away from a new laptop etc.
Hey now! Crippled, Asian gay midgets are totally underrepresented in gaming today! I'm boycotting everything and going on a hunger strike... let me die if you want
Personally I have my own concerns, and I'm been struggling to get excited about the game. I'm still in a wait and see mode.
- There's no depth in the health system. Shields are just an extended health bar and all guns are equally apt at draining them. Mass Effect this is not.
- There's little depth in the gunplay system. I've been watching twitch streams and never once have I heard them complaining about a misconfigured gun loadout. They j...
And the best part? The clouds cast shadows over the landscape... something that Destiny doesn't even have.
Check out Bravely Default if you haven't already. It's more complex and complete than what's offered in Child of Light and should fit nicely -- if you have a 3ds.
