Not when the music being muted is the actual music from the game being streamed...
I stand by my prior comment above: For any streamer or viewer on a stream with a legitimate piece of content blocked, file a support ticket/incident/email with Twitch - and do this for every single time it occurs until it stops.
For anyone streaming: If this happens to you, contact (and overwhelm) twitch support. It doesn't matter if you're streaming the same game, just on a different day. File another incident even if you know it's the same.
This goes for any service really - esp. YouTube. Support is one of the most costly aspects of running a service and typically every time a support call needs to be taken, the service has lost money for that user.
It should have been a lot more impactful than that as far as sales go is all I'm saying.
There's 3 ways to slice things:
- PS3 was able to match the 360 with just the games (already implies Blu-ray didn't matter)
- PS3 was able to match the 360 with just the highly coveted consumer electronics device
- PS3 was able to match the 360 after having both games and a highly coveted device
Some fanboys would take issue that games ...
I just realized, in the grand scheme of things (sales figures), that the PS3 having one of the best Blu-ray devices on the market kind of didn't matter.
One would've thought it would have been much more advantageous.
Yeah. It's come down to "Destiny is a good, fun game. It's just not the game that I wanted." for me at least.
I'll still get it since I won't bother canceling the pre-order. How long I'll end up playing it is TBD.
They were after that "30seconds of fun" loop and I was personally looking for something a bit slower, deeper, and more tactical.
And just like g. spark, I'm not going to care if my ghost dies, at least it doesn't seem like it. I may find it hard to bond with it a la Cortana.
The other characters you interact with are also mostly silent and mundane (every NPC at the citi^W^W^W tower for instance) so it'll be interesting to see what relationships (non romantic) I'll form within the universe.
I got a few laughs last night when I told my fireteam "drop ship in bound&q...
It's a bit underwhelming. Fun, but nothing special so far; visually or gameplay depth wise. There's some things lacking for sure but the fun + PvP bro's will probably give the game a free pass. Folks are on here commenting instead of playing so there's that...
No, you cannot: http://www.digitaltrends.co...
You can take your Guardian between PS3/PS4 and between 360/One (to allow movement from last gen to current gen etc.) but the actual populations will be segregated at playtime.
@Hells - Citadel, perhaps.
I think Destiny gives a bad name to Mass Effect though just from the point of view of combat/gunplay mechanics unfortunately.
For instance, in Mass Effect there were 3 'health bars' and each required different tactics/guns/mods -- strategy. In Destiny, there's 2 'health bars' and the second one is weak/shallow compared to even Halo. Has anyone seen people switch up tactics/guns to take out shields reliably? I ...
Mass Effect? How so? Maybe in setting (space) but certainly not borrowing anything else.
I'm most disappointed in the journalism surrounding the game. I feel there's a lot of weak/shallow gameplay mechanics going on and all anyone says negative is "servers, fps, resolution, doesn't have enough Barbie dress-up clothing for me."
There's certainly "fun" to be had; but it looks like "fun" has trumped gameplay and I'm struggling with that. They're not even orthogonal... you can have both! :(
Several reasons really.
- I tend to play in long sessions for ME type games and talking for hours isn't fun, engaging, or what I look forward to.
- When your player/companions pick up gibberish/random swearing and then fire off a power with a 10+ second cooldown, you tend to die.
- When you actual give a command but your player/companion doesn't understand it and then does nothing at all, you tend to die.
- I'd rather have...
Not sure if it's a good thing or not but I left 3 responses and each said "Do not use Kinect for xbox" so I hope they listen to that at least.
If anything, it would be Netflix or Hulu approaching Sony/Microsoft to create content for them.
To Netflix and Hulu, they would just be another 3rd party provider of content BUT it would give them a leg up on any securing even more eyeballs from the gamer audience for the services and hence ads. E.g. whatever they had cooking for Halo would end up Netflix/Hulu exclusive.
For whatever they've been doing up until this point, perhaps MS will just sell the co...
Man... wait to they find out that some organization is making women who can't speak into snipers...
Good. I'm glad the opportunity for ads has narrowed that much. That is to say - If MS has to screw anyone over, I'd like for it to be ad agencies. Do it again MS, string them along and then dump them.
But - Are they coming to the West? That kind of matters more because I don't see them doing so great in Japan itself any time soon...
It's quite possible the build used for the beta was forked and stabilized before they were able to integrate in the June XDK to remove Kinect.
It's really interesting to see several of those developers mention the Japanese vs. Western markets (mobile and F2P vs. big budget AAA console games) and how many Japanese developers are struggling with that dichotomy.
There certainly seems to be a definite push for them to continue developing mobile games for the Japanese market and they're all not quite sure how to win over the West with stuff like that.
There's no problem in a studio/dev releasing facts. Kojima, in fact, actually said over and over that the game is beautiful everywhere and he doesn't see the point in arguing over things like resoultion. Where did he "go out of his way" to downplay the XB1 version?
In the end, he still did the right thing in being transparent and showing the actual performance across all versions.
