Nope. It has much better draw distance, shadows, vegetation density and shadows, much better textures. The PC version has way better AO, and actually uses tessellation quite a lot (completely absent on consoles)
I don't get how you could play it and not notice. Maybe play it on console and compare side by side ? This is actually a game which has more than usual difference between consoles and PC.

@Mrwiss31
Uncharted 4 ?
That's a third party game right ? Oh no wait, it's first party, which means it will obviously look really good compared to third party games.
It's also a completely open world game with dynamic Time of day, weather and so on ?
Oh wait, it's not. It is a handcrafted adventure from start to finish.
Sorry, but your comparison is horrible.
The Witcher 3 was downgraded as we...
Why do you expect the PS4 version to look as good as some demo running on an insane high end PC ?
The PC version on very high looks significantly better.
THAT SAID, it is still downgrade. One of the most noticeable is the use of Screen Space Reflections in the 2015 demo, not found in the game now.
So you compared it to a strip club ? Great. That probably proves his point more than anything.
"Is there a reason for this no-no? Religion or whatever? Did they sign something saying the wouldn't bang the fans? Did they break actual rules/contract or is it moral outrage? "
What they did was apparently considered a no-no culturally. Either accept that or don't. Stop using idiotic strawmen arguments to dismiss it. Is it really an alien co...
What happened is considered serious in South Korean culture. Either accept that or atleast say that Ravenor is lying/clueless when he says this. You can't just keep using strawmen to dismiss it. How hard is it to understand ?
Thing is all of this is hand animated or done by some software. It's not performance captured. You can only go so far, and you always have a balance between quantity and quality. That's just how it is with all these RPGs, because of the sheer amount of dialogue. Other AAA games have even a fraction of the dialogue.
Aloy's animations look fantastic. The other woman not so much.
In the video he states that the reason it stands out is because of the high quality graphics and character models. When you see that, you somehow expect more, even though it's just an RPG with hand-animated characters. The detail and rendering here is better than The Witcher 3 I think. The facial animations themselves are definitely more detailed (more subtle movements and whatnot).

lol that one was really bad, but I don't think it's a big deal. Most RPGs do have moments like these here and there due to subpar voice acting combined with stiff animations.
Mass Effect Andromeda's trailer had a weird moment like that too.

is this in reference to the 7 country ban or the new work visa policy ?
I think there are graphical improvements too, like draw distance and level of detail.
It looks great, but honestly can't compete with games like Uncharted 4, and that's okay, because it's a more demanding type of game. It's an open world game.
un, no.
Jason's blog is better
It is 'laughable' because everyone knows that the designers only use that reason as an excuse. The real reason was they wanted to include erotic eye candy for the sake of it. That's why it's laughable. Your comparison to Tolkein doesn't work.
If you really believe they dressed Quiet like that for the story reason they gave, sure. Most of us don't believe that, obviously.
It has to be justified the same way everything has to be justified. That's how you give the player a believable experience. Sure you can have a game in which the female character is dressed like a stripper and pole dances for you all the time and does her best to erotically pose for you. Sure, go ahead, but good luck having a believable experience with that. If you're also trying to tell an emotional, serious story with that character, you're screwed lol. This is common sense. ...
" I dont approach super skinny people, fat people, odd shape people, ripped people and ask them for a back story why they are like that. I can make assumptions, but at the end of the day they are a person. Now dont get the firsf part of this paragraph confused. I like back stories, but dont use it to justify a situation concerning character designs. "
How is that relevant here ? Your analogy doesn't work. Let me explain.
In a work of fiction...
and people will criticize his art.
Sexuality is an aspect that can be criticized just like any other aspect of a game. Quiet's clothing stands out. The sexuality is very obviously forced. For those who enjoy that, sure, but for others it is completely immersion breaking. It adversely affects immersion, story etc. How can I take Quiet's story seriously when she is dressed like that and is constantly doing obnoxious erotic poses for Snake to look at in the helicopter ...
I wish. I wish the Indoctrination Theory were true.
There's nothing wrong with including same sex romance. This is an RPG after all, and it's up to the player - besides nothing about it is in conflict with the game world (it's futuristic). As long as it isn't obnoxious to the point that it comes off as forced, it's fine. That said, the fact that they try to include an equal number of gay romance options does make it seem forced sometimes, since that's never the case in real life. Either way, I can get past that.
Correct, but it looks significantly better than the console version (when played on highest settings atleast)
