Cry moar. If graphics are so important, release a game on 3 DVDs and one Bluray. That way everybody wins.

Holy crap, please not another world war game. I've lost count of how many I've seen in recent times. How about coming up with some original war and sides?

Man, world wars are about as tired as any other franchise

First off Wii has been outselling Xbox360 at 2:1, that isn't going to change any time soon seeing as Xbox is pretty much only selling in Europe and America (America accounts for like 60% of Xbox sales), yet Wii is selling out in all 3 continents.
Secondly, this guy dislikes the Wii. I saw an interview of him some time ago and it was clear he didn't think much of it. It's quite obvious his prediction is off the mark and swayed by his own preferences.

Haha, the only reason PS3 outsold Wii is because all the Wiis are being diverted to America where they sold 418,000 in one week against the 174,000 that PS3 managed.

Similar story in Europe, Wii sold 174,000 and PS3 102,000. Everywhere here is out of stock, I bet if they had more Wiis in Europe the sales would be even higher.

I've been gaming for 17 years and I love some of the retro games, in fact quite a few of them are better than the crap we get now. I don't see how retro games would really appeal to casuals since casuals are really the type of people who only care about graphics and would generally label the retro games as old and crappy looking.

Fact is SNES and MegaDrive were some of the best consoles of their time and puts today's shovelware, sequels and ports to shame. Even the N64 was he...

Sounds like a standard copy and paste response, don't get your hopes up. All Nintendo need to do at least is allow stuff to run from SD Card. They don't necessarily need a harddrive either, as long as they have USB mass storage support, they could have their own USB pen drive if security is a concern. Either that or allow people to use their own USB harddrives. No need for them to actually release any hardware, just a software update would do. People can store stuff on SD card and transf...

The easiest way for Sega to get back on form would be any of a number of ways.

First they need to downsize. Sega has 3x as many employees as Nintendo, and makes 1/10th of what Nintendo makes. With less staff, that means more capital in the company to invest in new or better staff, as well as giving existing staff a pay rise as an incentive to try harder.

As well as downsizing, they need to focus their energies. They are developing for too many platforms, perio...

This happens a lot in the media. A good example is the tabloids. I forget which ones but it's probably The Sun and The Mirror, or Daily Star and sometimes they have identical articles, pretty much word for word too. I would guess it's something to do with it's produced by the same company or has the same writer or something

"What was the last original, new, Sony made game that wasn't a sequel?"
Uh, let's see how you responded. I've included the developers at the end to moot your point.

RFOM - Insomniac
Motorstorm - Evolution Studios
Warhawk - Incognito
Lair - Factor 5
Heavenly sword - Ninja Theory
Eye of Judgement - Sony
Uncharted - Naughty Dog

Good job, all of those games bar one, you listed as "Sony's new IP" ar...

lolwut? What was the last original, new, Sony made game that wasn't a sequel? Sony consoles basically live on third party support alone.

Miyamoto has more innovation and good ideas in his little finger than the whole of Sony's computer entertainment division.

I'm not making excuses for the Wii here but Mario Galaxy hardly has good graphics or even graphics that push the Wii. Metroid Prime 3 is a slightly better indication.

However I didn't think Sunshine ran at such a good framerate. I played PAL Sunshine on 60fps on my Wii the other day and put Galaxy directly in after and the difference was so obvious it was like Sunshine was 30fps and Galaxy was 60fps.

One thing you will notice is the slightly higher poly count i...

If I was paying a premium for Bluray, I'd like to know that I was getting some kind of benefit from it. For me 6 hour game does not justify a 600 dollar console and 60 dollar game, and I don't care how much Phil Harrison goes on about how emotionally engaging it is. That's just PR bullcrap.

Holy crap what a scoop! Stop the press, the Wii doesn't have as good graphics as the Xbox360 or PS3. Oh my God!

Seriously, this is old news at best. About a year or two late; and mostly everyone knows this, and most people are past caring.

It boils down to this. No matter how awesome the PS3 or Xbox360 is graphics wise, they will not have Nintendo titles. Mario Galaxy is an awesome game, some very original content, but you won't find a game like this on eith...

If they can't dragon punch, they shouldn't even be playing games. This has been a standard move in beat em ups since the late 80s. Jesus.

Seriously, how exactly can you dumb down a dragon punch? Press 2 buttons at once?

The Blur-ray fanboys are really stretching now to come up with ratios like this. Normal people would just round to the nearest common ratio, something like 7:3, but I guess 7:3 doesn't sound as impressive as 71:29. Gotta have those big numbers!

I probably would have used it, rather than switching to my DVD player (and the fact that it's just more convienient and I use the Wii more), but now I have my DVD player hooked up to a surround system, I don't think I will since the Wii only does Dolby Prologic 2. Chances are the output would be stereo only, I can't see it coding stuff to Dolby Prologic on the fly.

Also my DVD player is multiregion and my Wii isn't, so thats more of a reason.

Still what's all th...

As much as I love Nintendo, it's time to do something different. Yes the Wii has mostly been marketed as everyone's console. It's cheap and easy to get into, yet the hardcore fans, the fans that stuck with Nintendo through all the crap do not want this. That's not to say that hardcore gamers can't kick back and enjoy something basic, I've enjoyed doing that with my family at times, and being busy these days gaming takes a bit of a back seat.

But it's clear that the Wii is no...

This is awesome. Sadly I can't see it being a game I'll get, but I've been wanting someone to try something like this. Ideally I wanted to see it in the next Zelda game, but hats off to Sega for doing it.

Jesus, more damn viral marketing. First someone "steals" one from a store (which isn't big news anyway), now someone "hires" a hitman.
