I'm with you. Have lots of great games on the Wii U. My problem is finding time to play them all.
I absolutely agree with you on the Gamepad - I love it.
While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, our family loves it.
Really? That is the only reason you'd buy? Not the highly rated games like Mario 3Dm Super Mario, Bayonetta 2/1, MarioKart 8, Smash Bros, DKTF, Wonderful 101? Not to mention the good stuff (and there IS good stuff) in the Wii back catalogue.
Not to mention virtual console?
I'm getting Metroid Prime Trilogy for $10 next week.
Small HD? I have 2 terabytes, and while you argue it increases the console price, I'd point out I don't pay for online - which is far more costly.
Memory (given out of order processing) has not been an issue.
The only issue is lack of 3rd party games and it might help developers if the CPU had a little more power.
MarioKart - play it with my daughter all the time. OHh.. and there is already Zelda WW which my daughter loved playing with me.
They could launch an upgraded version, just as they did for the 3DS.
Add a few more cores, and it could be more powerful than the PS4 or X1. It would cost less than the current Wii U too, as you wouldn't have to package a gamepad, for those who are simply upgrading.
The problem with the strategy is that some games coming out would only be playable on the new Wii U+ system. I could live with that.
Not if they have another year of games like this past year.
I buy a console for the games. If I were buying a console for the hardware, it would be called a PC.
The definitely missed Splatoon on this list. The Order? Really?
I think I'll be too busy with Metroid Prime Trilogy for $10 to be bothered with the rest.
Damn I hate/love that they bundle three great games together .... that will chew up time!!
Very pleased that Nintendo was #1 this year with their Wii U games. They certainly deserved it.
They took a big chunk out of my wallet in 2014, and I don't begrudge them any of it, give then quality they delivered.
@GutZ31 Sorry, I like Metacritic (and sites like it) as I'm not going to buy a game without the opinions of OTHERS WHO HAVE PLAYED IT.
I've purchased more than enough junk software and have learned to recognize that if it doesn't have at least an 70+ score on Metacritic, I'm not buying it.
Generally unless I hear from other, I won't buy unless it is 80+. I also read the multiple review Metacritic refers to.
Unlike you, I...
Very nice - thank you!!! :) Bubble to you :)
Love this. I'm just hoping that teammates are provided a means to communicate.
Skyward Sword, thank you very much, for the Wii U. I loved WW on the Wii U. Give Skyward Sword the same treatment.
That would be fast to deliver, and provide a quality experience with upgraded graphics.
Not too late. Get it now, quickly while you can pick up Metroid Trilogy for $10 and Darksiders 2 for $8 :)
That and a great pack-in like MarioKart and Smash will keep you busy.
You forgot Splatoon :) My impression is that Nintendo could to it for a second year, but in fairness a lot of this has to do with Nintendo actually delivering quality
Xbox1 and PS4 games generally failed to deliver quality.
I always learned that you determine the software you want to run, THEN you buy the computer that runs it.
This generation seems to be going great guns at the hardware without considering the software (although I don't think Wii U software really started standing out till May).
That being said ... I'm extremely happy with the Wii U.
I'm in the same boat. From what I've heard Metroid Trilogy is good, so that will be a quick purchase.
If you buy a Wii U, it's like getting an extra $20 off when you buy these :) Between those and the pack-in games, you could be busy for a while.
Had never played Smash or MarioKart before but now those two alone occupy way too much time, and I still haven't completed Wonderful 101 Bayonetta 2 or Darksiders2 which was(is?) on sale for $8.
Great seller? Depends who you believe. VG Chartz at 600K+ or the "rumor" that NPD has them at 135K in North America.
Either way ..... sources aren't the best.
