This would be even a worse score if this were a Nintendo game, as they generally average 85-90+ on Metacritic.
Doesn't mean it is a horrible game, but not one I'd spend $60 without a lot more evidence that it was worth the price. This is really not a good review score - the future may have better reviews, but we'll have to see.

I mean really, look at games rated 75 on Metacritic. You'll note that at less than 75 the scoring moves to yellow - this is borderline. However, if you are truly into games of that calibre, go for it.
I'm not paying $60 for it unless or until I see hard evidence that this review is wrong (ie. other reviews increase Metacritic scoring or my friends get it and I try it out).

No, 7.5 is not a good score. It isn't bad or horrible, but I'm sure not going to compare these scores to high school.
With very few exceptions do I purchase a game of less than 85 metacritic score. Why? Because it has been proven to me time and time again that you roll the dice between 75-80 and below 75 is junky.
The Order is borderline junk based on that review.
I think factually DougLord is correct, but yes there are reasons, such as X1's price decrease, and Wii U's superb exclusives.
As PS4 starts to release exclusives we'll see if they are able to compete with the Wii U exclusives and impact year over year sales. (I don't expect PS4 price to come down by $150 - Sony can't afford a move like that).

I found it interesting that an analyst (I know - it is a stretch to call Pachter that) would in one breath talk about 40,000 going to 70,00 and then consider it failure.

Given the dearth of 3rd party publishers coming to the table at the moment, and given this will sell in North America, I can't see any reason they wouldn't bring it here.
The only significant costs are localization.

Why would that cause Nintendo to be shut down? I had a Wii controller and eventually had to purchase a Wii controller+ or whatever it was called to play certain games.
I should clarify my earlier comment that the price cut would be for the standard Wii U. Bring a souped up CPU in at a higher price.
An upgrade of the console only could be pitched for $150.
I think Nintendo could offer a price cut - simultaneously with the offer of a WiiU+ console with a better CPU, to allow for some "WiiU+" exclusive games from third parties who want more CPU horsepower. Also available with gamepad sold separately.
Nintendo don't debase the core Wi U experience, add to that experience with the dozen or so games that need the extra CPU power, bring 3rd parties to the table with the full experience, and provide a console that could...

There is a lot of hype around the PS4 and anyone who thinks Sony can live up to that hype immediately, is living in a dream world.
Reality is the NIntendo console that has been out and is launching great game after great game that aren't available on a PC. People should be looking hard at Wii U - better value and better games. If you're buying a PS4, you're buying its future, not its present.

Agree ZombiU was very under rated. Rayman and Child of Light I have, and are good.
However .... I'm wondering about AC IV. I got AC 2 on the PS3 and for the life of me I couldn't get into it. I was hoping for more of a Far Cry experience I think? So I'm wondering about AC IV?

So where do you think the majority of money is made with game consoles? The console? Or the game? The game of course.
And that IP also has significant value as you move into the future, if it is good IP. Nintendo could turn around at some point and put their 90+ scoring Metacritic on other systems if they wished - that IP has real value for shareholders.
