First: Graphics add to atmosphere - so they are very impoitant. Obviously good graphics alone do not make a good game and noone claimed that.
Second: By running stuff in real-time and simulating effects instead of pre-baking them devs may have higher initial cost but many devs have come out and said that it saves time and money on projects in the long run. Especially where artists had to fake great lighting or vegetation or weather effects or what have you. Now it doesn't...
I just quoted the article. An MMO would be nice but I don't have to have an MMO.
It doesn't say online ONLY but it clearly states:
"Capcom Online Games revealed today that Deep Down will be an online game (obviously an MMORPG) and will be revealed during this year’s TGS"
I couldn't care less who else gets it. As long as I have the option to buy it everything is great.
It's not official that it is an exclusive. It may very well be headed to the XBox One. However PS4 seems guranteed so I hope that there will be fun gameplay behind those pretty graphics. I'd really like to play a great MMO... there seem to be a few contenders this time around...
They didn't say the shown gameplay ran on PC and PS4 will be weaker. They said the shown gameplay IS on ps4, so why would it look worse upon release?
Yeah. Would be weired if they messed up the time line.
Thanx, that's actually really impressive!
Yeah, until not 7 but 300 years from now. Not sooner will a faster GPU show it's advantages on an architecture that is very close in design.
Also: '300k servers' and 'azure cloud' is one argument, not two. Plus SONY has a cloud. I don't think there is as much advantage as you might want. TV is cool for people who really want it. I stopped watching regular TV about 2 years ago, plus it's not gonna work as well in Europe anyway. DevKit is cool I gues...
Cry-Engine is really nice but thse screens really look very weak and not at all like they could be in the engine. As far as those special screens go, the actual game looks way better. In most-cases it is artwork over pure tech.
Unless people learn how to do satire right, i suggest they don't do it at all.
I like the real-time-GI. I think until release they will improve upon mediocre texture-performance. ALso they only showed one track so far. Let's wait for GamesCom and the promised updated demo.
Who said that and why couldn't it be? I don'T believe it. Yoshida San said they have devkits and that he likes it. I don't see any reason why Oculus couldn't be working on PS4 and XBox One. All it needs is a driver. Lots of games already support rift, including some that are coming to PS4 soon.
Why did noone ask for Oculus Rift Compatibility. That is the single most amazing development in the gaming industry and noone wants it on PS4? Really?
Bad spelling and grammar is definately a trend that needs to go next gen!
Many developers have already come out and said that development on newer machines is easier than it was on the older gen. You don't have to fake so many effects - you can just DO them, which requires a lot less work on the side of the art department once an engine is up and running. Also as long as there is a trend to enlist A-class Hollywood-actors for motion-capture, development can't be too expensive. While I like the fact that Beyond, as an example, gets this cast of relatively bi...
Left.
Story-DLC has already been announced, so they are a fact. And as there will be story-dlc I would also like it a lot better to have a side-story than some form of modification to the original story.
I want a Turrican Remake - as faithfully to the original as possible.
I will buy it right from the start.
