No one said that and if someone did noone believed it... or at least should have...
I'd totally buy TLoU again.
Well, even if you misread my first post as 'stating an obvious fact' I clarified explicitly that I was stating an opinion, that I couldn't understand how one would think Beyond has a great story, and - get this - how everyone is free to have a different opinion, even though I don't understand it. What I find problematic is that you try to put me into a corner where I look like an ignorant fool, when several people unable to accept a review stating the game is poor are supporte...
I am stating my opinion and you are free to have a different one. Good for you. I just find it very funny that a review that is not as great as you want it to be must be wrong by default. You are the one who is not tolerating different opinions. I stand by my opinion and I don't understand yours. I am not saying you must or should change it. I also don't care if you believe whether I have read the review or not. Using the same phrases to describe the game just goes to show that neithe...
Interesting... Could you elaborate?
I didn't even read the review but I find it amusing how a bad review is always faulty and a great one is right. I am also not a great CoD-Fan and would personally give CoD around a 7 but with CoD I can see how a fan of twitchy shooters can love the game. So who is the target-group for Beyond? People who enjoy story-driven games, yet Cage just can't write good stories. QDs games are technically great but they should hire a good writer and not let Cage write that cringeworthy stuff.
Then read more reviews. The story is very often criticized for being nonsensical and full of cliche. Cage tries to hard to force 'emotions, emotions, emotions'. It's just not believable.
Well, at least CoD does what it advertizes very well, so it deserves a high rating in its frame of reference. Beyond advertizes super-emotional engaging story and then delivers a cliche-ridden nonsensical approximation of a story... just as it did with Heavy Rain.
So bad scores are automatically fake/biased and awesome ones are totally real. Interesting logic.
Importing an uncut-version from Austria does not cost a cent if the game is over 50 bucks. The real problem is for people who want to switch to pure digital - like me. It's really annoying that German adults are treated like kids as far as this goes.
There can be movies with great acting that are still terrible though. That's just what happened here. Just because it has great graphics and big hollywood names does not automatically make the game great.
Of course they blame the person responsible for the game and not the game itself. It didn't create itself. The problem is that in a game that puts story first and gameplay second, you kind of expect a decent story but Heavy Rain already showed that this is not what Cage is able to deliver.
Heavy Rain already wanted to be an interactive movie and as a movie it was absolutely terrible. There was plothole after plothole and whoever cares about continuity. The Beyond demo already showed that they did not improve this. So while Heavy Rain may have been new enough for people to be overlooking the fact due to the newness of the concept I am glad that they are not falling for this again.
"It would be one of the worst movies you’ve ever seen [...]" - exactly how I felt...
The problem is that if you want it to be judged as a story it should be rated even worse than as a game, because heavy rain had so many plot-holes and continuity-errors that every movie in that style would have been torn apart by reviewers. I haven't played Beyond beyond the demo yet, but the demo already showed that QD just doesn't care about basic principles of cinematic story-telling. Things happen because they are convenient, not because they make sense. That's really sad as H...
You can just register it now in case it is still available.

I think it was great. But Reviews were all over the place... so maybe it is polarizing.
I think it was better than decent. I enjoyed it a lot. The story and artstyle are great. It's not without flaws but at that price I would highly recommend it.
Remember Me was great - for me anyway!
I also think that the number is a mistake. It didn't come from Guerilla but from a SONY rep and he probably was mistakenly thinking of the current BR-Max-Size. I think the majority of games will shift from pre-rendered cutscenes to ingame-real-time cutscenes and will thus not need 50gigs even with higher quality assets. I would be surprised if Killzone will be over 25GB.
Who is "people"? Unless someone creates hardware that is more powerfull than anything that is thrown at it, there will always be tearing. No reputable developer would ever claim that tearing would be gone for good. I think Guerilla will continue to improve the performance plus sometimes different refresh-rates from the display and from the recording device in off-screen-footage can make it appear worse than it is.
There have been a few games were tearing has been annoying bu...
