It's also a rumor that was started about 11 minutes ago.

WHat exactly is the 'benefit' of losing cross-buy?

Not sure if kidding or misguided.

If ever a game has been worth 60 bucks it's The Last of Us!

Play The Last of Us and then see if you can maintain your statement. I agree that most games, even those with good stories, have poor stories compared to books or the better movies, but if the trend goes into the direction that The Last of Us shows then statements like these will hopefully disappear.

Well from all the listed games in this thread (puppeteer, GT6 etc.) Beyond is certainly the only game that really has a chance of even comparing with TLoU. However, knowing Heavy Rain I feel that TLoU will come out on top easily. Heavy Rain was, while a nice try, a mess in story-telling and gameplay (if you can call it that). I hope that Beyond will be great and that it proves me wrong, I just can't see any game topping TLoU for a long time. I think it really set an extremely high mark to...

I#m pretty sure I heard them say you can upload and share video-content without plus. Don't have a source though.

It depends a little on how much time they had with the game. If you come to a station and have 15 minutes to play a demo and it is misconfigured it can be terribly annoying. If there is no time limit then sure, he should have adapted.

Once I was at GamesCom and stood in line for 3hours to play the world of warcraft expansion (for my girlfriend - 3h for a wow-expansion is a pretty bad wait). So you sit down and there are some pre-configured characters and mine didn't have...

Well I agree about the mediocre controls in Heavy Rain but TLoU was just fine. What exactly would you consider as clunky?

I actually agree on this to some degree. SONY tried it with 5 people but couldn't hold it up because people where abusing the system. Maybe the idea was that people would try more games, be annoyed that they couldn't play it when the original owner played it and then buy it because they liked it.

Some sort of limitation would make sense but not telling people about that would be a terribly heavy lie. However it may explain why it took them so long to mention it at all...

First of all that would put an enourmous strain on their infrastructure. I don't think they have the tech to stream complete games to millions of customers.

Also even while the family member would stream the game the owner would have to be online to verify that noone else was plaining.

If they really just had demos then the whole family-sharing-plan would have to be a giant lie to begin with. I think that would have been even worse for MS than their DRM-p...

Yes but after sharing you could go offline now and 10 people could play it at the same time while only paying once... which is not as it was intended. Also they clearly said it was the full library not just trials.

If it really was just demos that would have been a stupid feature to begin with. One-Hour-Trials is something the PSN also has had for some time - granted not for all titles - but that would certainly not have been worth protecting and the Online-Checks for demos ...

Family Sharing meant that 10 people could share the game but only one person at a time could play it. On the owners console every 24h would be checked if someone else is playing at the same time and the system would react accordingly. At the Friends/Familys console the check would even happen every hour. So suppose I buy a game and 9 other people download it and go offline. Now 10 people could play the same game at the same time while only one person payed for it. That's certainly gonna h...

That guy is so annoying. Please explain how family sharing with digital titles would work without online verfication.

Yeah plus I don't get how 'early DLC' is somehow better than 'DLC only abailable on Playstation' as in Assassin's Creed or Batman. Not that I would weigh those to heavy but I believe later is better than never, but then again the whole list is kind of weired and, for lack of better term, wrong.

Her is an interesting link:

I think the cloud can do interesting stuff but not really anything to close the performance-gap. Also ps4 has a cloud too, so there you go.

I will buy a ps4 because I had a ps3 and like the franchises on the system but I do see the advantages of their push towards digital distribution, even if there are certain disadvantages too. It's a trad-off and every user must decide for him/herself if he/she wants to accept this trade-off.

Sure it does. You install a game, never ever need the disc again. You can access it from anywhere in the world via your account. You can share it with up to 10 people. How in the world would you maintain a system like that if you wouldn't bind the games to an account and check it's status online for eligibility. It is basically an online-only-distribution system, only you get a disc and cover as 'bonus' to carry you over until you only buy digital anyway - which is coming. It ...

How would I sound different? There was a big freeze in the Assassin's Creed presentation on SONYs stage and a big sound problem on Battlefield on Microsofts stage. But how is this stupid? It is some sort of error where you can not neccessarily pinpoint the source. Maybe a technical glitch, maybe human error. How is this stupid? Those were presentations by humans of products from humans. I take a live presentation with risks of problems over pre-recorded gameplay any day. If they pre-recor...

In the first moment I found it funny/stupid too, but honestly that fine sand in all the seams of the suit could be annoying, also, maybe he didn't want to be instantly recognized. Not the greatest of reasons for that hood but there could be a logical explanation.

Actually I think the whole list is stupid. Technical glitches, such as the audio cutting out or AC freezing aren't stupid. They are happening. It is a live presentation and if anything it makes the whole thin...
