My PS4 came from Amazon today, so it's no biggie for me, but I waited with a friend who had preordered in February and was told two days prior that his store wouldn't get enough consoles. Then they started selling at 7pm. Sold ultraslow so that it seemed like they had a lot and from 11pm almost nothing happened anymore. Of course the PS4 version can just have run in 720p with much higher AntiAliasing which would be fine with me, but I am guessing that the higher resolution made jaggies at the same level of AA less visible. With full HD versus 720p the Aliasing is already much smaller, as there edges are obviously made from much more pixels that are spread over the same screen space.

You're right. I can see that, but still think it is a bit to much guess-work. I certainly wouldn't complain about a January-release.
The quote says 'in a couple of months'. I am not sure I would hear/read that as 'maybe January'.

Isn't the news though that you have to install games on XOne, too? The leaked news say you need to wait 15Minutes to install 50% of CoD on One before you can play, whereas the PS4 does NOT install the game but caches it while you play. So while there is not enough info to really compare, I'd say your point about installs kind of backfired.
Killzone for example takes under 3 minutes from disc insert until you are ingame. Doesn't sound like a forced install to me. ...
Well nothing is ever really 'ideal' is it? There is room for improvement. But I wouldn't find much to improve on the Box, whereas the PS4 has quite a few areas. Actually the only thing I would want changed right now on X-Box is that you can not influence the layout of your favorites. You can pin stuff but you can't say where it's supposed to be (at least I read that somewhere). Other then that I think it's very good the way it is.

I'm a big PS-Fan and I am only getting the PS4 but I agree that the UI is not ideal. Much better and faster than the PS3-XMB but not ideal.
I actually like the X-Box One Dashboard a lot, but I am also liking Win 8 and Win 8 Phones, so I am probably a bit weird this way. The One's interface is also not ideal but looks way more streamlined and a bit better thought through.
Ever considered that the US is way more than 4 times the size of the UK? Based on population I'd say it sold even better in UK than in US.
