That would be a great TV spot for the game.
@DualConsoleOwner
The picture on the site has to be misleading. There has to be a camera in the package. There can't be a nav controller. (Relying on the DS3 for analog control)
The PS Move bundle is $99, the Killzone bundle $299.99
The savings is only $20
Well it's been confirmed that it's wrong.
But the way I'd do it is by using whichever you're aiming with as the camera, the face buttons on the left controller for movement (Don't tell it it wouldn't work, it's exactly the same as WASD) and the right face buttons for addition commands, like jumping.
What does THQ know about business strategy?
That's like a priest telling the pope about catholic doctrines.
If this is true, I hope it allows 2 moves at once for independent control of portals.
Sony said or did something! THEY MUST BE WRONG!
LYNCH MOB!
Why does everyone think they know how to make games better than game makers?
Why do people who haven't even seen something that's being worked on think they have a better idea about its quality than the people that are?
I'm getting sick of the pretentiousness of games blogs and the complete lack of genuine game journalism.
Ugh.. I wish I hadn't wasted the time on that.
Well I got mine pre-ordered and I can't wait to start playing.
And when the DLC comes, if I'm interested, I'll happily pay for it, because I'm not a cheap bastard and I believe people's work is worth money. I like to get paid for my work too.
If the DLC doesn't look interesting, I'll skip it.
That's Microsoft's culture. It starts right at the top.
Keep to it Dylan. I'm aching to see something, but I'd rather be blown away when I do. There's many other things to look forward to in the meantime.
Like a release date for InFamous 2 and Twisted Metal.
That's business.
Besides, if it was a matter of sales, they wouldn't have bothered prototyping at all. They weren't happy with the direction and it was stopped. It's probably better off for everyone.
Chances are they'll go back to it with another director when something fresh gets pitched.
Then why don't I like PC gaming?
(Because I don't like Keyboard/Mouse controls. And PC developers (or porters) are no longer developing with input flexibility in mind.)
Of course, every time I say this, someone like you immediately points me in the direction of some third party tool that will allow mapping to a controller, which is tedious and ineffective in translating the scheme.
And if I were going to go through all the trouble.. w...
Well I updated and it killed my HDMI audio playback.
@blumatt
I like the idea (as many consumers would) but publishers wouldn't like that.
Valve can do this with Portal specifically because they are the publisher and they're the ones footing the infrastructure costs.
It's also clearly an act of goodwill toward PS3 gamers.
Don't get too used to the idea just yet.
Too many philosophies. Too many tastes. One platform simply cannot satisfy everyone.
Probably not as you're imagining. Steamworks will be entirely within the game. Rather than saving to the XMB in your Saved Data folder, it will save to your Steam account. Possibly leaving a copy in your Saved Data too. And that's pretty much it.
Updates will also happen in-game, not quite as regular PS3 updates, but there won't be much of a difference at the end user level. It's just a bunch of back end stuff that makes Valve's job of delivering content ...
I believe the Sprint sponsorship means it's only for US residents. Which means my PS+ membership won't apply if I have to download the content via my US account.
Oh, and I just have to say, before this thread disappears into the annuls, JENNIFER HALE IS THE ONE TRUE SHEPARD!
Male Shepard, whoever the hell he is.. he sucks. He sucks so bad as to sully the experience and the game as a whole by comparison to Hale's amazing performances as both paragon and renegade. The game's media and marketing, even it's damn cover is a disservice to itself by constantly referring to Shepard as a man.
If you played a male S...
I don't know... WiiFit, Wii Music and whatever the hell the Vitality Sensor is kinda argue that statement.
"Never stopped" is a little too absolute. They've definitely fallen off the wagon at points in history.
