I don't think they're that foolish. I really don't. They still have a major stake in Blu-ray, after all.
Seems like a great way to deliver game demos and other content. I'm still not very interested in cloud gaming. Diablo III illustrates many reasons why. The impending bandwidth crunch is another major issue altogether. It still doesn't seem like a completely logical conclusion to me.
I would love to see it, I really would. But at this point I honestly believe we'll see new consoles before we see that game.
I've never been a fan of the series but I'm hoping the next one is particularly successful as it will be a boon for the local development community and economy.
It's probably Tomb Raider or Hitman related. Likely both, actually. Oh and Sleeping Dogs.
FFvXIII is a myth. It will remain platform exclusive. That platform is Vaporware.
And to that, Epic is saying "No no no! More more more!"
Which I think is indicative of the kind of hardware they want to support.
Considering the hardware that Epic has shown UE4 on and that they're asking for from Microsoft and Sony, the WiiU's Radeon HD 4000 series equivalent GPU is unlikely to be sufficient.
That engine is designed for what is currently bleeding edge tech. While the Wii U may be incrementally better than the 360 and PS3, it's dated tech never the less.
While by no means fact, this is a rumor that seems obvious to me.
Steam
And it's done.
Without wanting to be overly pessimistic, it's already over for them. Nobody is going to stick around for another year to finish the game while not getting paid.
The most upsetting aspect of this is that it didn't have to be this way. 38 Studios should have just stayed in Massachusetts and kept their debt level at a minimum. Unfortunately a 70 million dollar carrot is too strong a lure. Both sides of that equation are guilty of poor planning.
Just because you can't see the evidence doesn't mean it isn't there.

I don't know. There were a lot of things I didn't mind about DA2. There wasn't much I actually liked.
The most glaring issue for me was the fact that every 'choice' offered in the game were such obvious binary setups.
Are you going to take your sister to her death? She's the only healer you have.
Psychonauts is on Steam for 10 bucks. You can play in just about any resolution you like, including 1080p at 60Hz. (And with a controller)
I predict Nintendo games.
I don't believe they will.
But not through Origin
Low budgets. Low experience. Low ambition.
But this is worth checking out:

I have a Final Fantasy cart from 1990 that still keeps saves. It just needs to be used for the NES to charge the battery.
Consider experimenting with your sticker price.
I got Crysis on PS3 because it was 10 bucks. Crysis is definitely worth more than 10 bucks, but not to me because I'll never finish it.
You've already sold every full price copy you're ever going to. Now try lowering the bar for the next tier down.
Selling a back catalog is not backward compatibility.
Your PS2 discs still won't work.
