Was there a game in there?
All told, I think I saw about 4.5 seconds of cards being laid on a surface and no idea what was occurring between them.
We'll see. Vita seemed like a slam dunk leading up to it's launch.
Wiimote and Kinect offer 'great' new ways to play games?
We'll have to agree to disagree on that one.
That was some of the best photoshop work I've ever seen.
I'd be happy with another GTAIV with the addition of the greatly improved checkpointing of Red Dead Redemption.
I expect much more than that. A PC announcement would be great.
When someone decides to hold a conference, it kind of helps if they let people know when it will be held, yeah.
Neither do I. I think it's a great feature but it doesn't constitute a platform. I think all gaming platforms should use cloud services for storage, social features and demos but not for the games themselves.
I hear you but you can't expect a company to eat the difference just because your local economy has put these tariffs in place. They will price it as best they can for your market and likely make less per console sold in your region because of that. But they're not going to subsidize you. If you think that taxes create a lack of value, that's between you and your government, not you and Sony (or whoever).
Unless you plan on importing it from Japan, calculating the exchange rate is of little use. The machine will be priced by region to reflect each market.
Yeah, I'm guessing $399.99. Still a pretty good deal for the rumoured specs.
In the last few years I've come to realize that the money I save using Steam has facilitated a regular stream of PC upgrades without ever exceeding my gaming budget. In fact I've gotten a lot more for the same amount. So I'll be buying a new card for under $300 and be ready for the next-gen to catch up.
I haven't written off the possibility of a new console next y...
And I wouldn't argue with that for a minute. It still doesn't make for a successful platform. At best it makes for a decent peripheral.
No one announces hardware at E3. Anyone familiar with the situations knows that.
"Let me give you some knowledge. You know television commercials? They are old hat"
Yeah. That's what I just said.
"How many television commercials has Microsoft done for games and they still sold like garbage?"
I have no idea. I just said I don't watch them.
"Next thing you will be saying that you didn't know GOW Ascension was coming after the huge Superbowl commercial."
I think they specifically mean a TV ad campaign.
Not having seen a television commercial in literally years, I have no idea if there is any kind of TV campaign going on, but I kind of doubt it.
But since I personally refuse to pay for and therefore watch cable/satellite television, I have to assume that lots of other people do too. A TV ad campaign seems like an incredibly expensive way to completely avoid my attention.
But I haven't seen...
I care. I am buying it. I quite enjoyed GTA4.
You think your opinion is the sole basis on which a game and its developer are judged?
My concern with Shield is its inherent necessity of a powerful Nvidia based platform. That's a subset of a subset of the market. Not exactly an explosive business proposition. I don't know what Shield will cost, but I have a ballpark of the cost of the machine needed to make best use of it. That's a ground-up investment I'm not personally willing to make and I haven't even considered Shield itself yet.
Still pretty cool, but of little use to me personally...
This is satire.. right?
Definitely Ni No Kuni. Just beat it yesterday. Truly a masterpiece.
I think Lost Odyssey was also notable, although I found much of the story to be too reliant on walls of text.
I also enjoyed Blue Dragon. Ni No Kuni took a lot of cues from that game so I feel it deserves a mention if Ni No Kuni does.
Unfortunately I found Last Story to be very much overrated and have found it very difficult to stay engaged in Xenoblade, though I can see the ...
I love when companies blame consumers for their poor performance. Class.
I've never had a system completely die on me in my life.
I replaced one SNES because of a broken AC connection that I could probably fix today. I had a couple PS2s with nagging disc read issues that could always be fixed by opening it up and cleaning the lens. I used them for years playing FFXI which didn't need a disc so it was likely caused by extended periods of inactivity.
I just got rid of my NES a couple years ago but it still worked. I gave the...
