Why do people post these articles? You can always just pick the most extreme score in whatever direction suits your interests best. Someone could have just as easily posted an article about Gamepro giving it a 3/5.
Anyways, has anyone else tried the 3604free.com, yournintendowii4free.com things? I saw them on the news and was wondering if the 3604free was worth my time.
Even if this isn't announced officially, you gotta think that it will only be a timed exclusive, ala MGS2 and 3. The biggest argument I've heard about why it won't is because of Bluray's storage capacity, and Kojima's reputation for having hours of voice acting and movies in his games. Even in the case of a game exceeding 9gb though, there is no reason why MGS4 couldn't go multidisc (anyone else who owned the original MGS knows this) because the relative linearity of the story lends itself ...
This is old and the system is irrelevant. He could have killed her over an Atari 2600, an Xbox360, a ps3, a Virtual Boy, or a toaster, and the moral of the story would still be the same: "Some people are unbelievably stupid and inhuman jackasses that deserve to rot in jail."
I don't really follow stocks or look up business reports, but I do know that Sony's movie business is definitely up. Casino Royale was awesome, and SpiderMan 3 next year? The only negative thing I noticed about Casino Royale was the product placement. A Sony Erickson phone, a Sony Vaio computer, a security surveillance system that uses Bluray discs? I noticed those and was thinking "What next? Is he gonna start playing Killzone 2 on his ps3?" Besides that, it was probably the b...
Free downloadable content! This just illustrates the divide between the groups that care about gamers (Cliffy B & Co, Insomniac, Bungie, and some others) versus those that seem to hate their customers (no need to name names as we all know who I'm talking about).
They need to fix some of the stat tracking problems that are way too common. Last night I played CTF for an hour and a half, racked up over 100 kills, and got credit for 10 of them. Also, I killed 12 people in a row to start out a ranked team deathmatch, and I wasn't given the 10 kills without dying medal afterwards. They should also fix the Multiple Kills and Return a Flag ribbons so that they actually appear on your stats page once you get them. Hopefully fixing that will give me credit...
Honestly, I can't tell anything from that video.
This sounds like another patent troll lawsuit. Just my initial impressions.
I hope this doesn't affect the wii negatively in any way.
Damn that was an awesome trailer, far better than the football game.
I'll be so much more hyped for Halo 3 (fps isn't really my forte) if they can create a great story for the last one and really make Master Chief a protagonist that the player cares about. Historically fps has been a genre where the characters are generic and unimportant to the understanding of the game. So far those flashback scenes look great.
The ps2 is just now hitting the sweet spot where all of its great game library is at a bargain price, so there's a ton of great, cheap stuff to choose from, while the next gen consoles don't have a ton of great games yet, and they're all quite expensive.
They're part of a first party development team, so MS can't really steal them, just like Sony can't steal Bungie from MS.
Why do you have Mobile Suit Gundam?
Awesome. This game is in my opinion the best ff ever.
No villain was better than Kefka. Sephiroth was definitely one badass mf, but Kefka was just a guy who you could hate with everything you had, and he wasn't an enemy who you beat every time you played him.
And don't even get me started on the opera scene. Best Videogame Moment. Ever. Nothing else even comes close, so don't even try to say otherwise.
In the short term it's like, "I'd rather play ps3 than eat tacos everyday!"
But 6 years from now, with the ps4 on the horizon...
Just saying it'd be pretty sweet to get 12500 dollars worth of taco bell. Chicken Crunchwrap Supreme with fire sauce...
If Microsoft had launched in 06 instead of 05, and the ps3 had launched in 07, we would have seen Microsoft put a hddvd drive in the 360, and the argument would be about whether 30gb is enough or if 50gb was needed.
Don't think that Microsoft's actions were completely altruistic. If they weren't forced to have to beat the ps3 to the market, they probably would have tried to further the adoption of hddvds through the 360, instead of just releasing an add on.
Maybe in 30 years when they have 3420p "true" hdtvs that output 16.1 surround, we might need 300gb discs. Until then there's really no multimedia applications for this, only backing up data.
The 360 wireless is entirely proprietary, so wireless controllers and any wireless keyboards/mice/whatever will be proprietary as well.
Does anyone know if the downloads are paused for Bluray movie playback?
