At least this seems to indicate that better ai and actual car damage will be in gt5. Too bad it won't be here until '08. Oh well, take as much time as it needs to be good.
They have this over in the 360 media section too, so its a joint ps3, 360 article. Lets see if we can all be happy that we get a great game in Stranglehold (except for Wii guys but you're getting Zelda so no complaining), or if we'll just end up bashing each other like in every other article. Lol! I love how this turned from an article about unity as gamers into some stupid flaming thing in a matter of minutes (7 minutes wow). This is what news4gamers is actually all about. I just want to make a quick point. A killer app is a game that proves the worth of a console or other hardware system, compelling a large number of consumers to purchase it based on the strenght of that software title alone. That said, Lost Planet, as good as it will be, isn't a killer app. GoW isn't a killer app, Resistance isn't a killer app, Motorstorm isn't a killer app. FF7 was a killer app, Halo was a killer app, Tetris was a killer app for the gameboy, Myst was a killer app for cdr...
Got to make space for the new next gen titles for the holidays. They're going to make a killing off of all those $60 games.

Wow, real scientific. You do realize that this doesn't mean much. People could be searching for xbox 360 walkthroughs, or searching to buy one online, both of which disadvantages the consoles that aren't out yet. Sales charts will be the only way to gauge the success of the consoles.

He complimented the game, and his concerns are valid because of what the reviews for the 360 version of Just Cause have said. He only really said that the games will continue to get even better. How is that fanboyish?
I try to be rational and logical in my posts and analysis of news stories like this one and what do I get? People like pro logic (oh, the irony) accuse me of being a fanboy that tries to hide it by being rational. Then I post on a Gears of War article that the game looks great and I go on to compliment some other games 360 games that I would want to play, and he bashes me on how I didn't mention more good looking 360 games. Some of the people on this website are just insane in their vitrio...
The thing is, most of those rpgs are western styled rpgs, which aren't exactly popular in japan. It looks like there's only about 7 or something jrpgs.
I agree, it looks really nice and seems fun, but for a racer, especially a futuristic themed racer, to work it needs to give a feeling of speed. If it is made to play faster I'd buy it.

Here we go, 7 months until this game is released and we're being nitpicky attacking small points about the game. The delay was mainly to improve the ground combat and implement ground missions so expect them to do at least a little work on that.
The motion control is also used in other games like Lair and Resistance so its not like this is the only one that would ever use it.

Japanese exchange rates don't determine cost in the US market, or any other market! Games will be competetively priced. And you people who say that I can't just assume that are hypocrites because you're assuming that somehow the status quo pricing will change based on rumor and speculation.
I can only see that being useful for co op gameplay, but I can't imagine many people would use it though.
