And have no games to play on it.
This is no new information.
They're free.
I love me some inferior controls on a game that costs a lot more! It makes total sense!
Console games are for people who don't have thousands to drop on a machine just to game.
Duh, of course PC games look better. But I don't have the 1500 bucks needed to make a "gaming" PC. You can't play the best PC games with the 400 dollar HP laptop you buy at Best Buy. And even THAT is more expensive than a console.
I'm not on either side of this "debate". People should play whatever they like. But console gamers nee...
How much have you played KIU? Its pretty clear that the stylus controls on KIU were implemented because you can't keep up with the speed of the game with an analogue stick. You can't match the stylus in that regard. This is the first thing that people who know what they're doing realized after all of the "why no CCP for KIU" hysteria passed. If KIU supported a second analogue, you would suck at the game.
*facepalm* this article and this comment section. It is just the same 'ol same 'ol: Sony and Nintendo fans railing on each other. THIS is why non-gamers do not take you seriously.
I've put over 100 hours into two big 3DS releases: KIU and RER. I would hardly call them casual.
Wait, are you dedicatedtogamers proxy account?
Sony employee.
Waddy is right.
First off, this isn't really an "article" so much as a series of (supposedly) connected sentences, each separated (oddly) by paragraph breaks. The author needs to get a server that displays text properly, or they need to learn how to properly format the written word.
Secondly, as per usual with the extremely biased crowd, its rife with inaccuracies:
I'm not really sure how you can say that the handheld game ...
It definitely is light. EU players are reporting that there is absolutely no end game. The game is designed to be played over and over again with different skill sets. A lot of players are raging because they wanted a grindfest with epic challenges instead.
This is true of every handheld system throughout their history. Stop trolling.
You don't know that they would work Waddy. You're not a programmer. And even if they do work, you'd be selling a machine that has functions that are not usable with past software.
This is all part of the flawed current gamer psyche that "I can't go backwards and play games that don't have a second analogue stick."
You're entitled to say that my opinions "make no sense." Here's another opinion: you're thin...
If you don't include backwards compatibility you alienate a huge portion of your market. Its bad business practice.
The image is upscaled. The 3DS XL system is about 60% the screen size of an iPad. THis article shoudl be removed as it is purposefully trolling and spreading mis-information.
So, you don't bring games that require CCP on the go. Not everyone uses handheld consoles on the go, you know. And every game does not have to be played away from home. Just because a system has mobility doesn't mean you can only use it on the go. Do you turn off your cell phone when in your home? Cell phones are mobile devices, so you are saying they are only useful outside the home and that is the only place they should be used?
I think the big problem here is ...
Agreed. Everyone is quick to tout the "second analogue" line as if gaming without a second analogue is impossible.
People also don't need to think about the technical challenges here, so they just don't. How do you make the 100+ existing games for the 3DS compatible with a new dual stick model? Do you re-contract with all of those companies to work on patches? At what cost? Do you honestly think that devs will spend resources and do it for FREE just o...
You may never get it, you realize. Their hesitation is probably due to the difficulty in making previously released games compatible with a second analogue.
Sure they sync. Its the GAMES that have crappy controls. You can have all the "capability" in the world, but if your tablet maker doesn't understand gaming, and can't make a game worth spit, then your bluetooth controller is pointless.
Way to leave the "costs a lot more" hanging there. You don't have a "right" way to respond to that.
