And this is what the pro phone crowd doesn't get, or conveniently ignores.

You are pretending like there is only one market: games, or not.

What if casual gamers like casual handheld games and hardcore gamers prefer console-like experiences? There can be more than one market. And all the evidence suggests that there is.

The truth is that phone gamers keep bringing this BS up to continue to convince themselves that unless everyone enjoy...

Its still an RPG. Just not the traditional ones players want. Instead of static attack options and partners, you get stickers. It is the same number of attacks as prior versions, only presented in different ways. Apparently a lot of gamers can't recognize the obvious similarities in the mechanics.

Has anyone picked up Bloons TD 4 for 3DS who can compare it to the OPTIONS of the iOS version?

Does it have the same depth of modes/balloon poppers/medals/challenges?

The only people who think portal gaming is dead are the people who never understood it in the first place.

I am still in world 2 (of six) and I have played for seven hours. The 15 hour estimates might be true if you rushed through the game and chose not to do anything optional and knew EXACTLY where to go.

Just completed world one and thoroughly enjoying the game.

The sticker mechanic is actually pretty cool. In a traditional RPG, you usually have set attacks and just have to decide what order to use them in. In this game, every sticker is an individual attack and you not only have to decide the order to use them in, but also how to maintain your sticker album for each level with limited space. I think it adds a layer to the strategy.

I know the Mobile market is bigger. I understand that. What I am saying is that many iOS apologists are claiming that the rise of iOS markets means the demise of the mobile gaming market, and we know that isn't true.

Your entire argument is predicated on the assumption that more market share=good and less market share=bad.

If the market is SUSTAINABLE, then it doesn't matter how big the market is. If I sell honey out of my garage to three dozen people a month and I can make a profit off of that, then it doesn't MATTER that local grocery stores move one thousand units a month to their customers. I still have a profitable market. If I'm happy with that market, who are YOU to ...

The pro iOS crowd will completely ignore this article.

4870d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Exactly.

iOS users claim that their games are cheaper, but they never talk about about how they get micro-transactioned and end up paying more. "Nintendo games cost 40 bucks!" Yep, and then I'm done paying. I get all the value in one go, instead of getting blackmailed into paying more and more to unlock more game features.

Once again, we have somebody reviewing a niche game who doesn't understand the niche....or the game. This game is no 10, or 9, but if you're considering buying it, ignore this review.

So, your argument is essentially that 3rd party games that are not GOOD should still be supported, so we have the chance at getting more crappy 3rd party games? Nintendo has a ton of third party support right now. The risk of dropping N-space, a crappy developer in its own right, is well worth the lack of support.

This is not a surprise. Many gamers (like myself) who were really hyped for this game never bought after they read other gamer opinions of it. N-Space developed a game for a genre that they didn't understand. Imagine playing a game released in 2012 that had gameplay mechanics first produced in 1995. The game doesn't allow you to re-fight any bosses. Your level doesn't scale with dungeons after you beat the campaign. "Loot" collection doesn't really matter, beca...

I'm guessing by your single bubble that you can't quite get why people have given you all these disagrees.

1. I have a 3DS AND a Man Cave. I brew craft brew.

2. Real men could care less what others think of them and do what they like. They sure as heck don't listen to what blowhards like you define as a man.

I love it when people who don't understand a game review a game. The part where the reviewer describes "grind or quit" is an indication that he doesn't understand, or can't adapt to, the gameplay. I had to grind very little to progress. The reviewer is making poor stat point allocation decisions or is not playing well and is blaming the game for it.

CoP isn't flawless, but it certainly isn't a 4. Poor review.

We were afraid of this. Apparently the delay took the game from "unplayable and terrible" to just "terrible". Disappointing.
