They'll slowly decline as long as they keep producing cloned FPS franchises. The AAA marketplace is nothing but a dozen clones of "run around shooting things". Its boring.
Public educator here who runs a video game/board game/CCG/RPG club at my school.
Scapegoating is an easy out. We live in a scapegoating culture. The fact is that parenting is hard. Frequently parents do what they need to help kids become responsible adults. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes there were things they could have done when their kid does bad things. Sometimes there was nothing they could do. We as a society do not sit well with uncertainty. Yet, life is, ...
Yep, that can (and likely will) change. It happened with Apple within the last few years and Ninty is just slow to adopt.
Gamers are so "worst case scenario". They'll avoid fun altogether if that fun isn't optimized. Its sad.
Minis on the Move is a fabulous game for the price. Its a different "type" of puzzle game than the prior ones (old=timed platform puzzle, new=timed pathway creation), so it could be a good way for players who didn't like the old ones as much to get into the series. It isn't perfect, but there is a lot of meat for the price. A good combination of smart phone style mindless time wasting mini games and hardcore puzzle challenges.
I'm new to MH. I knew MH3U is on 3DS. But I wasn't sure if 4 had been CONFIRMED to be on 3DS.
Interesting that you think 1 million units isn't solid. If it doesn't sell 5 or 10 its a failure, right?
Has any source confirmed that MH4 is coming to 3DS?
I'd be shocked if it didn't given how much support there was for 3U on 3DS/WiiU and the fact that people underestimated first printing and most places were backordered.
The author seems completely oblivious to the fact that the 3DS has had unpaid DLC for a long time and paid DLC for a few months now.
If anything is true of the last 20 years of tech, it is that there have been a lot of promises and not a lot of delivery.
Cloud gaming SOUNDS great on paper, but when you get into the practice of internet infrastructure, it will be full of problems.
Mark my words: Someone will debut cloud gaming and it won't work properly. People will voice this and the reply of the company will be: "Well, I guess you should get better internet access."
Yes, people have misreported or misread the headlines about this. Nintendo isn't absent. It just isn't giving a major presentation.
Stop publishing games made by people who think they understand a genre but don't *cough* Heroes of Ruin.
Actually, I'm a Nintendo fan...telling you Nintendo's E3 was a disaster.
As a video game fan, the purpose of E3 is to psych people up with upcoming games we didn't know about. We knew about every game that Nintendo was featuring. There was NOTHING new or that exciting. It was a disaster if you were a Nintendo fan...unless you have low standards.
I only tell you this because there are lots of hypocrites on this site that focus hate on ANY negati...
Its a great idea because last year's E3 was an unmitigated disaster for Nintendo so it is probably a signal that they should not waste resources on terrible presentations.
Yep. This is the first time in which there are more good games to play than I have time for.
Yep, he doesn't get the game. And for all his "draw the line in the sand" posturing, the fact remains that most of his complaints about the game are things that a subset of gamers LIKE about the game. We LIKE that the animation for drinking potions is long, because it requires us to make TACTICAL DECISIONS about when to do it. The reviewer wants a world without consequences in the game and reads like he is a member of the new school of "if the game doesn't hold my ha...
Replace WiiU in the above post with any other Nintendo console name and you pretty much have exactly what any Nintendo detractor has ever said about any Nintendo product.
Best Buy just had Professor Layton on for 15.
Many of you are having difficulty realizing that there is a new generation of gamers that were born 20+ years after many of these games released who have never played them.
So, my question for many of you is this: why should new gamers be denied the opportunity to play old games on new consoles?
I think the truth is that many of you who are "against" re-releases never thought about anyone other than yourself.
So long as there is button functionality, I'd be on board. No one is ever going to convince me that touch only input is as responsive.
I love how internet "journalists" have selective amnesia when it comes to how Nintendo does business. This is how Nintendo rolls out all its products. Internet journalists can think like gamers just fine. They can't think like business to save their lives.
