I have a Samsung 55" 8000 series and it is awesome. It came with 4 pairs of 3D glasses and it looks great in 3D. I used to be big on Sony for TV's but their quality has lagged so I did some research on some of the HDTV forums and switched over. I have had two Samsungs over the last 6 years and they were both great. Opinions do vary however just the same as in consoles.
The simple fact of the matter is that it was a smart business decision to do this. It was not a punishment. The are still working on the Xbox One Live network and as he was not an approved person who signed NDA's they did not want him on there.
There is nothing mysterious or some terrible plot here. They do not want him displaying information about the network when it has not been finalized.
