That was kind of a pointless article. I agree that they need to increase 1st party games. I actually liked Halo 4 for the campaign but the online play was a real disappointment for me compared to Halo 2 and Halo 3. I literally put well over a 1000 hours into playing Halo 2 and 3 online and it was absolutely awesome. To me the were the greatest achievement in online gaming. I am hoping that they will bring back that feeling again with the next Halo.
MS produce some truly ...
This is great. First they announced that it would continue for the 360 so I will keep collecting them on that and I will also be able to do it on my Xbox One.
@OlgerO. This is the Xbox One. They need to have games to give away for free first. The 360 games will not play on the Xbox One.
I would expect that the first games will probably be cheapies until there is a build up in the Xbox One library but it is still a good thing to have happen.
What are you talking about? The pixel counters have no clue what they are doing.
Pixel counting is only applicable if you have access to the raw stream directly from the console. A video can be affected by the capture process itself and with out the details of the actual capture you cannot determine from a pixel count. You also do not know what other processing took place after the capture when it was posted to websites. Are they using compression for streaming? What kind...
I am an Xbox fan myself but I don't want to see anyone's console fail regardless of their console preference. Hopefully this is isolated and it is taken care of quickly.
You are relying on this guys comments? He just completely embarrassed himself. Shuhei Yoshida is President of Sony's Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment and he has to get an explanation from Digital Foundry?
Do PS4 people really depend on an trust this guy to give them facts when he does not understand this technology? Very sad. He even says he does not understand what MS is trying to do:
Yoshida: "The way they are using cloud compu...
How is this a political move by MS. It is quite obvious that this was a move by Sony supported who have been hammered with review after review stating that the 1080p version for PS4 was no better than the Xbox One's upscaled version and the PS4 version has frame rate issues to boot.
So how does it make sense that MS would come up with this ridiculous story.
I will tell you right now what has happened. Sony saw a chance to get a win over MS by pushing to...
If this is a deal breaker for anyone buying a PS4 of Xbox One then they need to see a psychiatrist. Just use the browser.
The wool was pulled over by the simple fact that the upscaled version of COD on the Xbox One looks as good as the native of the PS4 as per almost every review and the fact that the Xbox One is not dropping frames.
Sounds to me like someone made a decision to push the resolution to score a win against Xbox One and lost. Now the SDF on NeoGaf are stooping to false statements to try to cover it up.
The title for the article at the top of this thread is a fals...
The responses here are pretty typical of this site which is loaded with fanboys. It was no issue what so ever when the PS3 was so hard to code games for that it took 5 years to be able to leverage the extra power that it had over the Xbox 360. Yet when the same issue comes up for the Xbox One it is the end of MS and Xbox One.
Logic is not used on this site. The Xbox One will take some time for developers to get used to using it but it is nowhere near as complicated as it ...
Read the article again. The reviewed version for the PS4 was rendered natively in 1080p.
Here is the quote from the above article:
"Call of Duty: Ghosts runs natively at 1080p on the PlayStation 4. There was a configuration issue in the retail version on single player mode only. This has been addressed with a day one software update. People will be able to download the day one update when PlayStation 4 launches in their territory and play at native 1080...
LOL. This just goes to demonstrate how badly some sites and people want the Xbox One to look bad. If a Gaffer and sites are posting flat out lies to cover the fact that not only does the 720p version on the Xbox One looks as good as the 1080p version of the PS4 which can't even run at 60fps.
This sounds a lot like Sony pulling the wool over their customers eyes by pushing to have this game at 1080p no matter what even if it drops frames.
On top of tha...
For the record it is a cold boot. The Kinect is in standby mode and the Xbox One is off. The Kinect will draw power through the Xbox One power supply but no power is being drawn by the Xbox One itself. Once the Kinect gets a command it comes out of standby mode and then turns on the Xbox One.
The number one problem he has is that he is one PSN which is notorious for not being the best when it comes to on line play or chat.
He is correct in that you need a decent connection but much of that depends on the servers you are connecting to and whether you are gaming on a peer 2 peer system which requires one of the online gamers to host the game on their console. If their connection sucks then the match sucks period.
This is one of the main differences...
You seem to be loosing bubbles as fast as me for using your brain and speaking common sense. Have a bubble.
Do you have a link to where they say that they can't play offline? I have not heard that but if it is true then maybe the games need an update before they can run. Provide the link and I will see what I can find out.
That is F@#%ing it. MS went to far this time aligning themselves with Duracell.
Cancelling my pre-order and getting a PS4. LOL.
It's also nice of him to note that they are not really banned and that he understands that he can't access Xbox Live because they are still working on it.
I could not have put it better myself. Here's a bubble.
This is pretty much all preference at the end of the day. I happen to prefer the Xbox controller but provided each controller works well and is built well then to me neither is better than the other.
Watch out the SDF will be here soon. :)
I have to agree with his point of view. People like Michael Pachter and other supposed experts are little more that self serving fools who get to create jobs for themselves by prophesising this drivel.
They incorrectly assume that the popularity of gaming on smart phones and tablets is due to the fact that it is more fun than gaming on a console. In most cases it is not. It is fun to play on mobile devices or else no one would do it, but the real reason for its popularit...
