I think your scope is too limited here. This isn't strictly an entertainment industry or an AI problem, this is a capitalism problem. By that I mean this is about chasing margin by drilling costs down. AI is attractive to these people because it's a cheap alternative that regulators have failed to, so far, protect against. This is something that irked me throughout the criticisms of Cyberpunk. Not saying it wasn't a state but that people omitted the fact that literally their previous game had loads of issues at launch that they slowly chipped away at over months of patching.
But even setups with top hardware suffer frame rate issues and stuttering on certain UE5 games. This suggests something more than simply optimisation issues.
I think maybe it would be more fair to say people who buy into tribalistic and binary politics are usually unintelligent. There are a lot of valid reasons to hate others these days. Justifying a genocide being one of them.
