Semantics lads, twice as fast = 100% faster = 200% as fast.
In this article it's an increase of 50% or if you want to word it differently it's 1.5x or 150% as fast.
What it's NOT, is 50% as fast (half as fast) which is what OP is incorrectly conflating with 50% faster.
Like insisting Lewis Hamilton drive a bus in F1 and then sacking him because he didn't perform well enough... Sack the people who forced this live service shoehorning upon the devs.
Or Playstation at this rate 😅 We can't even get the damn remaster. It would be the ultimate troll if they remastered it but locked to 30FPS 💀
The problem is, politics leaves no area of life untouched anymore. So it's pretty damn hard to leave politics alone. Everything is a party political issue in the States where if one side takes a stance on anything, the other takes the polar opposite stance just for the sake of it.
Nobodies feelings are hurt, people are mocking you because of the tired buzzwords that do nothing but highlight your level of intelligence and general unpleasantness.
Me too. I've enjoyed all of ND's recent offerings and frankly, am really into some sci-fi. The brand placement doesn't put me off at all to be honest, the original Blade Runner (that I adore) had absolutely loads of it and it wasn't just some cash grab, it was baked into the oppressive overtly corporate world. I can't imagine brand placement as overt as it was in the trailer is anything but intentional to the world building.
It would be easy to sit here and call this man an idiot but I would assume this 'stance' is essentially because there are games well into production that fit the live service model in some way or another. Perhaps privately, they are giving up or at least pulling back strongly on live service but only once these titles are out.
I can understand why you don't come out and publicly announce that though when you still have projects yet to release that would suffer ...
Not surprised really. I replayed the Witcher 3 recently and was somewhat irked by the voice acting for Ciri. It felt a less professional performance than I remembered it being the first time round. Lacking nuance, a bit on the nose.
I don't remember anyone discussing a male lead character's hair with as much fervor. Read into that what you will
As an outsider, your problems lie with both political parties unfortunately. Granted one may be more gung ho than the other but they're both bought and paid for by corporate and foreign interests. It's a sham of a democracy when you have little option for real beneficial change.
Whenever I hear "live service" I think final nail in the coffin
Won't someone think of the Betamax!
@anast how can you say "we all know it" despite the overwhelming majority of people down voting you? How can you expect anyone to take you seriously?
Maybe they should replace his face with a clown given that's what he's become
What are you talking about? It won't have access to "all the current games", just the ones released on the PS5 Portable. Is this not self evident?
Seems very true to the original then!
Nobody asked for this. Someone is signing off on some real clangers at Sony as of late.
I was never a fan of how they changed the warthog's physics from the first game to the second. The first had genuine heft to it. The second and third felt much more like a quad bike than a chunky offroader
It still blows my mind that I have to pay a subscription to access online features of console games.
