@Ricegum - you imagine now that exclusives aren't exclusive because they will play on more than one generation of Xbox. Now THAT really is reaching for an argument. lol

@darthv72 - the only difference between that and what is going to happen is that they have set in place an option for specific portions of gameplay to be downloaded first or even not at all if not needed. Would be little different than PC where it has the capability code wise to run at different specs but when installing on older XB1 systems they could simply make it so it runs on that specific system code. Little different than what XB1X does now versus XB1S or XB1 with same games. Peeople t...

I disagree on the transition point... for me when I moved from Xbox 360 to Xbox One S it was this exact thing that ultimately had me choosing to go to Xbox One S instead of Sony or Nintendo systems. It does not negate potential upgrades to other systems and totally assists developers early on with a console new release.

I personally played a lot of Battlefield Hardline (go ahead and hate) and the differences between it from Xbox 360 to Xbox One S were night and day. Graphic...

Yes Ultimate for sure is a great offering if you are already an XBL Gold subscriber as it simply reduces the combined price that much more.

PS Now would be a better option for those that are already subscribed to PSN as it would reduce the price. Would not want to gimp my already purchased games that might not be on PS Now by dropping my PSN because of the free online that is offered for PS Now titles.

On a purely marketing look. For sure GamePass has a...

Both services offer offline gaming via downloading of said games to your system. With but an online verification every few days needed.

You can thank GamePass for the cost reduction in PSNow. It wasn't until Sony saw competition that was perfecting their formula that they finally chose to significantly reduce their prices.

PS Now went from $20 to $10 (don't quibble over that 1 cent) for monthly subscription. $45 to $25 for Quarterly subscription. And $100 down to $60 for yearly subscription.

GamePass is more expensive if you opt into the yearly option that PS Now has but GamePas...

He is actually comparing the console reveal to that of a movie. Guy is crazy. If anything the games would be the comparative movie with story and plot needing some semblance of secrecy to it to as not spoil. But the 'console' is at best comparative to the 'movie theater' in that you want to know if the movie is playing on IMAX, 3D, Dolby Atoms, is the theater clean, and are they serving fresh popcorn. There is no chance a movie theater needs to keep a secret as to how their mo...

Don't worry... the next Sony PS5 reveal might actually show you the power cable.

Except it wasn't positive exposure in the least. Though a lot of fanboys are crawling out from under their rocks and trying to spin it as the next coming of Christ. lol

Totally missing the point of the logo issue. It isn't even the fact of the logo branding it is the point of the hype around the reveal of something for PS5 and then showing nothing but the logo. It was a complete fail.

What... but Xbox Series X has ray tracing too. So how can you comment on it being the difference? Do you even know what you are arguing about?

What do you mean no idea? Have you not been following the news in the least?

Seriously though... Microsoft comes out with their Xbox Series X presentation and fanboys scream about how it was nothing and pointless to even show. Yet Sony shows us a logo that looks like basically any other Sony logo and fanboys start claiming it was the best move ever.

"Don't be fooled: the new PS5 logo may seem 'uninspired' but is PlayStation's best tactic against Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch." - seriously, why would I even click on the link to the article if they imagine that statement is true in any respect. lol

So that is why Microsoft quickly came out and stated it was not representative of their actual system configuration? You do realize PS5 is AMD too right? So are they going to give us a fake representation of their system too?

A few sites have posted estimated release dates past 2021 just need to google it to find them. ()I posted the date year that I agreed with personally) Speculation based on its recent unveiling and having little but CGI video representing the scope of the game and being so early in its development.

And the article title is specifically talking on Sony announcing game line-ups for PS4. Unless they have exclusive marketing deals or something else in the works they tend to not ...

Seriously though... what they presented was pointless. It could have been tweeted for the amount of negativity it brought to Sony by trying to hype it as really anything.

Already proven to be a false report. Shouldn't the article have failed by now?

2207d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Its likely release isn't until 2022 and is looking at being Multi-platform so no real reason for Sony to promote it.

Seems quite interesting how focus is being made on a CPU that likely is less powerful than the competitors CPU. Might want to change the focus to maybe game titles or cost... because looks like those will be the major selling points of PS5 over hardware with current info.
