Borderlands has been a series that caters more to its fanbase than not. Unfortunately a lot of people that haven't played a Borderlands title simply aren't drawn to it and are missing out on a really good series. So it basically quickly sells to the fanbase and after that is the smaller market of a few curious and fanbase that wasn't able to buy at launch.
"No one, not a single person wants an empty case." - except for the fact of so many people doing exactly that by buying these empty cases at retail stores. they wouldn't do it if they din't sell.
"If a game is digital-only it should stay in the virtual shop, with retail awareness coming from posters and banners" - totally misses the point of retail where many people like paying with cash and so many people hate using a card online. .
I like how RDR2 has sold 25% of GTA V and having been out for a fraction of the time and people are calling a fail at 29 million sold. lol
@roadkillers - nope, they are already working on GTA 6.
Started it? Really??? Last Gen???
Cliff Bleszinski needs to get woke about using the word woke.
That is not an excuse it is simply a fact. Switch gets the system sales simply because it is a handheld masquerading as a console. It basically has the power of 360 and PS3 but is going against XB1 and PS4. And it will compare it already large sales numbers against PS5 and XBSX when next gen drops because it likely won't give us a new system.
@TheHateTheyGive - "they failed miserably in the dedicated home console business" Wii sold 101.63 million systems. How...
Out of the list of games you presented I thought MLB was the most likely anticipated title that was left out of their inclusion. But then I thought of it as I did Madden games where people really are never that interested in the next game even though it will sell well enough. As they rarely offer more the next season compared to the last game.
How is this news? It is simply another Borderlands 3 Golden Key Shift Code. Why does an entire article need to be made talking about it simply because it came out in line with Superbowl? And how does this pass muster on N4G?
For sure it did not list every game on any console. It was focusing on "Final Year Might Just Be The Best A Console Has Ever Had" so I figure it was trying to go with anticipated titles. Why I also left out some not so anticipated titles when mentioning the bigger obvious anticipated titles Xbox players are looking forward to and were missed. I didn't go into Nintendo titles missed because I really am not familiar with Nintendo games that people are interested in.
And they list:PS4
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Resident Evil 3 (multi plat)
DOOM Eternal (multi plat)
Nioh 2
Yakuza 7: Like A Dragon
Persona 5 Royal
Watch Dogs Legion (multi plat)
Gods and Monsters (multi plat)
Tales of Arise (multi plat)
Elden Ring (multi plat)
Cyberpunk 2077 (multi plat)
Dreams
Ghost of Tsushima
The Last of Us Part 2
So a good ...
"the most notable departure here is Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which was actually added not that long ago" it has been on GamePass for a year. How is that recent? PS Now (the competing service) has most of their recent AAA titles for only 4 months at a time.
Also, the 2 weeks thing is more myth than not. Most leaving soon are announced at the very end of 1 month (or beginning leaving month) and they leave at the end of the following month.
@Christoper - you are usually notified at the beginning of the month on what games are leaving at the end of the month.
PS Now does list when their games will leave but they have such a limited time on many of their bigger titles that it is relatively pointless for the service at times. I mean 'Horizon Zero Dawn' and 'Uncharted: The Lost Legacy' were just added January 2020 and will be gone after first week in April. Wow... games that are 2 1/2 - 3 years ol...
Same people that lauded PS Now for including AAA titles for only a few months go crazy when a game that has been on GamePass for much longer is finally replaced.

"[GamePass] will continue with Xbox Series X and it gives Xbox gamers something truly unique and valuable that Sony simply can’t match." - let me fix that '...Sony simply WON'T match'. They COULD match it if they want to but it is simply not the route they are looking to go as it does not fit their marketing plan.
Though that defeats the purpose of it if your console system is already hooked up to your TV. xCloud is not looking at replacing consoles it is simply looking at being an addition to what you can do with their services.
Had to down vote you on that simply because in the past MS is actually known for putting their toes into a product line and then when things turned in the slightest they cannibalized assets and dropped products like a hot potato. Just to recall Zune and Nokia to see that history full blown. Their current market plan is to stop doing exactly that but they are not known yet for having reached that certainty point they want.
The reason Stadia is getting hit hard is because the...
Only in scope of sales. Amazon markets to a lot but infrastructure wise Azure has the wider footprint covering many more regions with more data centers. Each of the major public clouds has their own market focus and the reason Sony chose Azure is simply because it is the best cloud system for what console gaming needs. 2182d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment
