Not in one play through. That's 4 play throughs, but it shows how much I like the game. I've played through 2 or maybe 3 times(very rare) on other FF but not 4 times. I just don't get bored with Tactics. As soon as I get a PSP I'm going to play through it a 5th time. LOL!!
I agree even though I put FFX and Tactics above it (just preference), but not by much. As much as everyone talks about FF7, I don't think anyone who played 6 when it came out would put 7 above it.
I know the article doesn't consider Tactics one of the best but it's got to be up there for me. It's the only FF I've spent over 250 hrs playing. I consider it as my favorite FF game on the PS. That means it beats out FF7. FF7 has thee most memorable characters of any FF but it's not the best to me. FFX has the second most memorable characters and a better story and combat system. If I had a top 5 list it would be like this.
1: FFX
2: FF Tactics
3: FFVI
4: FFVII...
Haven't they ever heard of Walmart or Kmart or BestBuy. BestBuy might be sold out but they should have plenty at Walmart. There's really no need to camp out for games like this because there will be a lot of copies produced. Game specific stores are the only ones that usually out. At least on the first day anyway.
Fine, the 360 has DLC coming in the fall, so what? If I didn't have a console and was trying to decide, I would be thinking about GT5P and maybe Haze and MGS4, the game that's just as big as GTA4. I'd take those over extra content any day. It's no contest.
It's really a shame. You would think that word of mouth would have gotten more people interested but it hasn't. Most gamers are really like lemmings. They just kind of fall inline to play certain games. I haven't played COD4 so I can't comment on that but I have played the OTHER big FPS which I won't name, and I think UT3 is every bit as good a game. More so in some aspects. It just came out at the wrong time.
Still doesn't mention the Final Fantasy stuff. Could it be that the FF article was real? I won't hold my breath.
All I can say is to be careful believing any news for the next few days because of April Fool's. It would be sweet if true though.
Are saying that you can't do that with the other shooters? Is it because the other games have a slightly higher learning curve? When you're running as slow as you are in Halo of coarse it's easier to jump in.
The only one I can comment on is UT3. After playing a lot of Halo3 and UT3 I'll say that I enjoy UT3 a lot more. Halo3 feels like you're running in water. You can't convince people of this though. UT3 will always be considered the lesser shooter.
Don't really care. I'm getting 2K9 when it comes out. If not then I'll stay with 2K8.
I've been a fan of EA's NCAA Football for years but I never bought it yearly. There's never really enough change in one year to justify it but Madden players don't care. This year will be worth it for PS3 owners because of the move to 60 FPS. Also, it's amazing to how people shunned All Pro 2K8 last year because it didn't have the NFL license even though it was a far better representation of football.
I'm happy to pay $40 to get to play GT5P. I'm a 3d artist and I understand what it takes to create cars with the amount of details that GT5 has. And to have over 700 cars? GT5 should probably be $100 all by itself.
I've been waiting for news on this game for years now. Diablo is by far one of my favorite franchises. I just hope it's not a MMO.
I agree, and I hate the fact that in Oblivion they penalize for getting stronger. When you get stronger all the creatures get stronger too. It's like whats the point.
It's funny, if it wasn't for JRPGs there wouldn't be any other types of RPGs. Everyone who complains about them probably never grew up playing them. The greatest RPGs of all time are JRPGs.
They are the only people that says that MLB 2K8 is better than MLB 08 The Show. I'm starting to mistrust X-play and their reviews, but anyone who watches the show knows that they HATE!!!! JRPG's. So, don't read too much into this review.
There in lies the point about multi-platform games. It's always been this way. When you have multi-platform games then it's usually bad for one system or both in some cases. Some companies don't have the resources or don't want to spend the money to fully optimize each system. That's why it's important to have exclusive games. It's not because I don't want the guy who owns an opposing system to play the game I, it's because someone usually gets shafted. How many of those games do you think ar...
I'm not sure about some of these. Why wouldn't Sir Francis Drake play Uncharted since it is about his great,great,..... grandson who is looking for his gold. And I'm not sure if Hemingway would be playing Condemned 2. Oh well, cool read.
I agree. They didn't eat their words. They just didn't expect gamers to cry about it as much as they did. So they listened to the consumer and brought it back.
