The Mac may be a better platform for users but to developers it's not. That's why you don't see as many games and other programs that the PC platform has. I would like to get a Mac but I hear that programs crash more on them.
Haze should be ok. It's a PS3 exclusive, at least for right now anyway. So it should be highly optimized for the PS3.

This is one of the games I 'm looking forward to a lot. What I think they are pushing the limits on is their physics engine. Real time deformation can be murder on a CPU. The problem is that because it's multi-plat the PS3 won't be as optimized as it could be. I almost guarantee they are not using the SPE's and if they are it's limited. It doesn't really matter though as long as the PS3 version doesn't suffer from it.
Just skip Vista and wait for Windows 7. The more you think about it the the more it makes sense. Why upgrade to a bloated OS with slower performance that's going to be replaced in 18 months. I'm stick with XP. Hopeful Windows 7 will be worth the upgrade.
I just got AOT last night I love it on single player. The computer is great at laying down suppressive fire or covering you. I'm having a blast. The computer just can't do any of the tactical stuff. You have to do all the sneaking but that's fine by me.
I'm one of the few that prefer to play off line. Online multiplayer is just not that important to me. It's cool to have if I want to play online but I rarely do. I've played the most online with UT3. If I had a 360 I don't think I would ever pay to play online. Maybe when GTP comes out I will.
RPGs are by far my favorite genre and I've noticed that 35 to 60 hours is about right. Anything less and you feel cheated and anything more you might loose interest.
It depends on the game, but for the most part, no. If it's offered then cool but it's not then that's ok.
As good as that is to hear, I think the more important thing is the fixing of the game engine. I don't think you guys realize how much I love College Football, far more than the Pro Football. I aways buy EA's College Football but last year I also bought All Pro Football. After playing APF for few sessions and then going back to EA's CF it was startling to feel how more arcadey the CF game was. I traded it in soon after. Ok, the PS2 basically killed the Dreamcast yet it's rated as better. The PS2 is still producing some of the best games ever. And thats what 4 or 5 years after the Dreamcast. And the 360 is going into it's 3rd year yet it's rated higher than a system that's been around 8 years and still making outstanding games. Yeah right, these guys are idiots.
I don't care if the full game does come out this year. $40 to play it 8 months earlier is more than worth it. I'm picking up this game first day without hesitation.
As much as I like FF VII I think that I like FF X more. Where Square-Enix goes I go. I've been playing the FF series from the beginning and with the exception of maybe Grand Turismo it's my favorite all-time series.
As of now, yes. Maybe they can do better with the Windows after Vista.
First reason I think so is that the arcade is dead in the US. There really is no point in bringing it out in the arcade over here. Second, the 360 doesn't have that strong a base in Japan where SF is still huge. Still, I think this is the less likely of the two. If it does happen then it will be a timed exclusive.
I personally love All Pro Football. Visual Concepts has perfected the physics of football. I don't give a crap about the NFL license. I'm a football fan first and they nailed it. If they can separate from 2K then I don't care EA buys them. I don't think that will happen though. Sony is into the sport genre maybe they will make a bid. Let's hope so.
Well as someone whose played both quite a lot (my job got us a 360 and Halo 3) I think he's mostly correct. The most glaring problem with UT3 is that it doesn't have 4 player split-screen which I like in Halo3. I love the fact that UT3 includes bots. I've been playing FF since the beginning and for me it's a toss up between FF6(FF3 in the US) and FF Tactics. Tactics is not part of the mainstream FF series but I've played through that game at least 4 times. Each time taking around 60 hours. I haven't put that much time in any other FF game. I think that FF8 is the worst for me. I couldn't even finish the game. The Job System and the Sphere System from FFX were my favorite for building characters.

I'm actually looking forward to this game. I love it on the PSP and I played the other ones a lot on the PS2. It should be a game that's easy to pick up and play when you want to get a quick game in. I've always liked this better than the Tiger Woods series.
I'm so sick of hearing this d@mn question. The PS3 was worth it when it came out. I got mine in Dec of 06 and I've never regretted it. There's not one time I've wished I bought another system instead.
